IVAS was honoured to participate in the recent Pre-Budget Roundtable Discussion hosted by ISCA (Institute of Singapore Charted Accountant). Centred on the theme "Building a Vibrant and Resilient Economy in Uncertain Times", the discussion brought together key stakeholders to share insights and recommendations for Singapore's upcoming budget. IVAS Council Member Ms Selena Ling contributed valuable perspectives on how professional bodies like IVAS can help foster economic resilience, “We live in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world. Professional bodies like IVAS have a part to play by facilitating skills upgrading to enhance employability, and supporting government’s ambitions as a global financial and business hub. When we use terms like ‘silver tsunami’ and ‘ageing population’ – everything can be in very negative terms. We have to reframe the definition of elderly, so that it is not seen as a problem.” IVAS looks forward to working with various stakeholders to uplift the valuation profession this year. #PreBudget2025 #SingaporeEconomy #Valuation #IVAS #ISCA
