How can higher education institutions shape the role of #AI in ways that are inclusive, ethical, and grounded in human values? 🤖🌍 This question guided discussions at the #ASEFInnoLab6 Conference in Košice, Slovakia (2–5 December 2025), where experts, academics, researchers, and higher education leaders from across #Asia and #Europe came together to reflect on the evolving role of universities in an AI-driven world. 💡 We’re proud to share the ASEFInnoLab6 Košice Manifesto, a set of 10 principles that explore how higher education institutions can become enablers of smart AI dissemination for an inclusive, ethical, and future-ready society. Some key reflections from the document: 🔹 AI should serve human development, not define it 🔹 Universities must foster ethical, human-centred AI skills alongside technical expertise 🔹 AI should augment (not replace) human creativity and judgement 🔹 Educators need support to experiment, learn, and lead in this transformation 🔹 HEIs can act as innovation ecosystems, connecting academia, policy, industry, and society Read it here: https://lnkd.in/g_3VQGmg At its core, the manifesto reminds us: ➡️ AI is not the story itself. The real story is humanity’s capacity to harness it wisely. As AI continues to reshape education and society, universities are not just adopters of technology. They are active shapers of how AI is developed, governed, and applied for the public good. 🙏 We extend our sincere appreciation to all members of the Košice Cohort whose openness and collaborative spirit made this possible. Special thanks to our host, Univerzita 'Pavla Jozefa Šafárika' v Košiciach, our partners and resource persons, especially Dr Claudio Rivera (RTU Riga Business School), our ASEFInnoLab Strategic Advisor, for conceptualising and guiding these important conversations. #HigherEducation #AIforGood #DigitalTransformation #ASEF #AE4AI #InternationalCollaboration || Dr. Aneela Y.
