𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 & 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌&𝐀 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 Mergers and acquisitions in international group businesses bring exciting growth opportunities—but also significant challenges, especially when integrating legacy systems and addressing information security concerns. Recently, I led a transformation for Constellation Group following the acquisition of successful family-run businesses in Sweden and Norway. These companies relied on locally developed warehouse management systems (EPIX and Maritech) that had served them well for decades. However, their on-premises infrastructure lacked the resiliency and cybersecurity capabilities needed for scalable growth and compliance, particularly with evolving regulations like NIS2. Here’s how we addressed these challenges: • 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝-𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲: Rapid deployment of secure-by-design infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines and virtual desktops for warehouse management systems securely accessible with Windows APP. • 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲: Rolled out Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Cloud, alongside Datto RMM, to proactively identify and remediate risks across all devices—both in Azure and on-premises. • 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Built robust EDI connectivity in Azure for seamless invoicing, order processing, and stock reporting. • 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫-𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Migrated legacy WMS to Azure test environments, with end-user validation approach for secure access and warehouse operations before production cutover. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬: • Retained proven operational systems, avoiding disruption and costly replacements. • Enabled scalable growth with a replicable integration model for future acquisitions. • Strengthened cybersecurity posture across all sites. • Achieved ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, reducing risk. • Reinforced group reputation as a trusted, reliable brand for customers and partners. From need to solution in a week – How Infranord AB secured its IT leadership during an intense transformation journey When Infranord found itself without an IT manager in the middle of business planning and budgeting, the timing was far from ideal. With high digital ambitions and ongoing complex projects, there was no room for pause. The solution was to quickly bring in an interim IT Manager. Strong momentum in the Swedish services sector 🇸🇪🇸🇪 Production grew by 2.6% year-on-year in Q3, and indicators suggest continued growth ahead. According to Almega, the turnaround is already translating into new hires, which is a welcome signal for confidence, capability, and long-term resilience in the labour market. We trust that hiccups are momentary and that the longterm trend is positive!
