“In product development there can sometimes be an inevitable disconnect or chafing between the needs of the sales team, the needs of the users, and the reality of what is produced by research and development. It’s a classic challenge, and one that I would argue is overcome by clear and constant communication. In Kaveh’s case his burden in that regard is enormous, as he not only represents a wide variety of the least served regions in Earth but also steps into many strategic planning roles outside the scope of his basic assigned geography. In any other case that would worry me but in my time at Tobii I have never once been anything other than blown away with his 1) ability to accurately analyze his own markets 2) seemingly psychic ability to analyze others’ markets as well, 3) incisive and unfailingly accurate about products strengths, shortcomings, and needs for the future, and of course his unrelenting compassion and relationship building with our users. He reaches out externally and internally all the time for reasons great and small, turning even minor connections into major ones while somehow communicating our very complicated portfolio to some of the most developing markets clearly and concisely and building loyal relationships along the way. I would dearly like Kaveh’s mind spent aiding among my development team but I’m afraid he’s too valuable where he is; no matter what though he has an absolutely brilliant future as a role model, an inspiration, and a friend.”
