  • Ann Edholm, born in 1953 in Saltsjöbaden, is a visual artist and printmaker. She studied at Gerlesborg School of Fine Art in Stockholm during the 1970s and 1980s, and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm between 1981 and 1986. She has held professorships in painting at both the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and the Valand Academy of Arts in Gothenburg, two of Sweden’s leading institutions for artistic education. Edholm’s work is characterised by a distinct visual language, where form, colour and structure play a central role, inviting the viewer into quiet reflection. She is considered one of the most captivating artists in Swedish contemporary art, known for her abstract realism. This is “60 seconds in the safe”, with Ann Edholm. With a long tradition of supporting art and the people behind it, and as the main sponsor of Market Art Fair, we wanted to get to know the artists on a deeper level. So we brought the conversation to our underground vault in Kungsträdgården in Stockholm, where they could share their thoughts, dreams and secrets. Learn more: sebgroup.com/art marketartfair.com

  • Matti Hoffner, born in 1999 in the coastal town of Karlshamn, is one of the youngest artists at this year’s Market Art Fair. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Konstfack in 2025 and has already established himself as an artist to watch. Hoffner’s practice is rooted in a close attention to the material’s personal voice, making visible what has been easily discarded. A dialogue between form and content unfolds, where cracks and dirt become scars of earlier experiences. It is an intuitive process, in which the conversation between artist and material reveals itself through almost choreographic movements. The sculptures are arranged not to direct a narrative, but to create an open dramaturgy. They depend as much on each other as they do on the space and the viewer. The works give the impression of being in constant motion. An abstract poetry of form and material, where feeling comes before thought. Or as he himself describes it: ‘the hands, not the head, knowing best’. This is “60 seconds in the safe”, with Matti Hoffner. • SEB economists present three scenarios for how the current Middle East conflict will affect the global economy, depending on its duration and the impact on energy infrastructure. “If we reach a point where energy prices stay high for a year, the risk of broad secondary effects on inflation increases significantly,” says Jens Magnusson, Chief Economist at SEB.
