Highest sustainability rating for our new office in Solna strand. Our new office in Solna Strand, Sweden, has achieved the highest sustainability certification under BREEAM In-Use, the world’s leading assessment method for sustainable buildings and infrastructure. This certification reflects the strong collaboration between Saab and Fabege, and a shared ambition to make circular construction the standard, not the exception. Instead of demolishing and replacing, the project focused on: • Reusing floor plans and structural elements • Reinstalling 15,000 sqm of textile carpet • Reusing 70% of ceilings • Giving new life to 320 toilet fixtures, kitchen interiors, stone countertops, glass sections, ventilation ducts, and electrical installations By prioritizing conservation, reuse, and smart energy systems, we managed to significantly reduce climate impact while upgrading the property to meet future demands. #sustainability

Why did Stockholmers run into a Remote Digital Air Traffic Control Tower in the middle of the city? Supporting the Ministry of Rural Affairs and Infrastructure, Saab had the opportunity to showcase the flexible tower as part of an international conference focusing on how Sweden can support the reconstruction of Ukraine’s civil transport sector. The deployable air traffic control tower can be set up within hours, enabling air traffic control where traditional infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.

How does Saab tackle the task of recruiting even more talented women engineers, managers and employees? That was one of the key topics earlier this week when we welcomed Sweden's Equality Minister Nina Larsson to our head office in Stockholm, alongside Teknikföretagen, the Technology Industries of Sweden organisation and Svenskt Näringsliv, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. We explained how we are working strategically to increase both the number of women managers and the percentage of women as a share of our total employees. We have set targets to help us do this and both numbers have steadily increased since 2022, as shown in our recent year-end report for 2025. It's also the younger generation we are working with, by encouraging girls to study STEM subjects and targeting our employer branding specifically to inspire and attract women to careers in technology and defence. We're really excited to see the next generation of women employees start their Saab journey! "It was a pleasure to discuss our focus on women employees with the minister, Teknikföretagen and Svenskt Näringsliv this week. We're making real progress in strengthening women's presence in our industry and every day we see the difference our women colleagues are making in helping to keep people and society safe," said Lena Eliasson, Head of Group Human Resources, after welcoming the visitors.

“We don’t innovate to disrupt, we innovate to keep people safe”. Marcus Wandt brought a unique perspective to TECHARENA in Stockholm, as both an astronaut and Saab’s Head of Strategy and Technology. His experience in space, where teamwork, adaptability and a shared responsibility are essential Seeing Earth from orbit created a powerful long-term perspective. The planet appears small, vulnerable and shared by everyone. That insight strengthens Marcus’ belief that stability and security are prerequisites for progress, innovation and the protection of democratic values. While the ideal is a peaceful world, Marcus emphasised that lasting peace requires credible capability. Security enables societies to focus on science, development and what truly matters. In his role Marcus leads strategy and technology to ensure continuous innovation that includes balancing immediate delivery to meet current security needs with long-term development that requires strong partnerships, collaboration with industry and startups, and sustained investment in technology.

At TECHARENA Angelica Persson took the front stage talking about fast innovation in demanding environments. Going from concept to impact about the drone threat. It is not new, but what has changed is the speed, scale and creativity in how drones are used. Today, new tactics and capabilities can emerge within months, sometimes within days. At Saab, that urgency became real just one year ago. The mission was clear. Build a system capable of detecting, understanding and stopping a wide range of drone threats, and do it faster than traditional defence timelines would allow. The first result was a prototype. It was not elegant, but it proved the concept. Speed was critical. Instead of a multi-year development cycle, the first major milestone was reached in just 84 days. The next phase is already underway. Greater autonomy, AI-supported decision-making and faster response times are being introduced to handle increasingly complex scenarios, including coordinated drone swarms. The architecture is built to evolve, allowing new capabilities to be added as threats change.
