According to the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), food is lost and wasted across the entire value chain, from production and storage to transport and consumption. On International Day of Zero Waste, we want to highlight the role intelligent technologies can play in reducing these losses long before food reaches our plates. At FoodTech and Munters, we work closely with farmers and integrators acting in the food supply chain to support improved operational efficiency and productivity. We do it by providing AI-powered supply chain optimization software, controllers, sensors, gateways and services. By improving everything from animal welfare and feed conversion to temperature control and traceability, we help reduce waste and emissions across the entire food supply chain. “By connecting the entire supply chain using our controllers, sensors, gateways and supply chain optimization software, we help improve a wide range of issues, from animal welfare and waste to transparency and traceability,” says Pia Brantgärde Linder Bräntgärde-Linder, President at FoodTech. Staying on course for sustainability requires more than ambition, it requires commitment. “It was important to confirm that we are staying on course. That clarity allows us to continue integrating sustainability into the business with priority, even in an uncertain environment,” says Andréa Haag Haag, Vice President Sustainability at Munters. In our annual and sustainability report, we share both progress and challenges. • 91% of our electricity consumption now comes from renewable sources, approaching our target of 100% by 2030 • Our climate targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and we are integrating those ambitions into our current action plans and strategies, though full de-coupling remains to be achieved • We continue to invest in energy-efficient solutions, from AI-based optimization to heat recovery and electrification The path forward is clear: sustainability must be embedded in the business and driven through the solutions we deliver. As AI accelerates, so does the need for smarter, more sustainable data center infrastructure. Munters joined DCD Connect New York with industry peers to discuss how to scale performance without scaling environmental impact. Cooling is a critical part of that equation. At the event, we showcased our Waterless Hybrid Air & Liquid Cooling at the Edge system, designed to support high-density AI and HPC workloads while reducing resource use. Our SyCool Direct-to-Chip cooling solution drew strong interest, particularly for its ability to reduce energy use by up to 25% compared to best-in-class chilled water systems and enable efficient heat transfer through two-phase technology, among many other benefits. The conversations throughout the day reinforced a clear direction for the industry: future-ready data centers must be both high-performing and resource-efficient. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and to the DCD team for bringing the industry together. 👉 Don’t miss more insights and updates, follow Munters Data Center Technologies. #DCDConnectNYC #datacenters #AI

Building future food systems starts with data. The global food industry is still one of the least digitalized sectors, yet the need for data has never been greater. As producers work to create more efficient, resilient, and transparent operations, connecting the food supply chain becomes essential. At Munters business area FoodTech, we focus on digital solutions that make a real difference. Our portfolio includes controllers, sensors, software, and advanced analytics that enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability across the global food value chain. Together with our customers and partners, we are driving the transition toward more efficient and sustainable food production. The result? Greater efficiency, improved productivity and predictability, enhanced animal welfare, and more sustainable food production. It’s time to transform the future of food systems. Together. The expansion of Munters campus for data center cooling in Virginia is running full steam ahead, and new chiller manufacturing is on track to begin scaling up in the second quarter. After a year of rapidly growing demand for our Geoclima chillers, this is a critical project to keep momentum in supplying the data center industry with energy efficient, high-capacity chillers. “We acquired Geoclima in October of 2024 and even though we knew that they had a great product, we’ve been simply blown away by how well it’s been received. In the first year after introducing this range to our customers in the US, we’ve won chiller orders alone worth around 5 billion SEK. To put that in context, Geoclima’s turnover was around 500 million SEK in 2024,” says Stefan Aspman, President of Munters business area DCT. “It’s clear that our chillers meet the evolving demands of the data center industry, and we’re excited to strengthen our ability to serve the US market by expanding our Virginia facility to include chiller production.” The Virginia facility will also be home to a brand-new chiller laboratory, including an advanced environmental chamber that simulates a wide range of real-world climate conditions. And with expanded test stand capacity, every chiller can undergo full functional testing before it ships - ensuring optimized, reliable performance for our customers.
