Going further with our initiatives this year, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the journey we shared in 2025—a year defined by purpose, compassion, and the power of community. Together with Hope and Homes for Children Romania , we transformed everyday moments into meaningful impact. A simple but powerful mission guides this partnership: to give every child in Romania a place to call home. For the past years, they have been supporting children in leaving orphanages behind and rediscovering what it means to grow up in a space filled with hope. It started in late May, with the first edition of 2025 Cycling Challenge hosted in Olea—bringing people together to contribute to this cause by pedaling, through cycling classes and shared energy. The journey continued in November, when we brought the second edition of 2025, into our lobby, turning a central space of the hotel into a hub of generosity and movement. In Cucina, during September and October, every plate served carried a deeper meaning through our “You Eat, We Give” initiative, where €1 from each meal was donated to support the cause. As the year unfolded, generosity took many forms. Our associates came together during the festive season to prepare Christmas gifts for children stepping into a new chapter—a new home filled with hope. And through all these collective efforts, something truly lasting was achieved: by the end of the year, a house was built for children who needed it most. One of the most heartwarming chapters was written in our lobby, where, together with children from Mexic School, we created a gingerbread house—transforming our reception into a warm, festive story. A space that welcomed guests not only into the holiday spirit, but into a shared purpose. Each initiative, each moment, each contribution became part of something bigger. And as we move forward, we carry with us a simple truth: hospitality is not only about what we offer, but about what we build together. Here’s to continuing this story. 💛

It was an honor to be part of The Artisan Assembly, a distinguished Marriott conference that brought together Quality Leaders from across EMEA—an inspiring celebration of craftsmanship, innovation, and shared vision. Representing the hotel, Anamaria Nicolae, Quality Manager, joined this remarkable gathering hosted at the iconic Penha Longa Resort, a Ritz-Carlton destination in Portugal. Inspired by the elegance and strength of women, we created moments worth celebrating.✨ Throughout a full week dedicated to her, within our team, we curated a refined collection of experiences designed to inspire balance, creativity, and connection. From energizing Zumba and Pilates classes to moments of relaxation with Indian Head Massage and eyebrow shaping rituals, every detail was thoughtfully crafted around wellbeing and self-care. As a gesture of appreciation, a bespoke beauty set was offered to each woman who inspires our hotel every single day. Our talented Pastry Chef de Cuisine, Claudia Zaharescu, brought a touch of artistry to the celebration by hosting two exclusive Cake Decorating Workshops, where creativity met indulgence through the delicate flavors of limoncello tiramisu. At the same time, the women of our hotel were invited to share their passions and connect on a deeper level—strengthening the spirit that defines us. In the heart of the hotel, our guests were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco in the lobby, setting the tone for a celebration that extended across all our outlets. A selection of tailored experiences invited guests to enjoy the women’s day through different culinary delights. An evening defined by grace, culture, and artistic distinction. On March 5th, the elegant setting of Sala Palatului welcomed the International Ballet Gala, a remarkable celebration of world-class ballet held in honor of the 150th anniversary of Constantin Brâncuși — the visionary Romanian sculptor and pioneer of modernism, whose timeless works reshaped the language of modern art and continue to inspire generations around the world. Bringing together leadership and a commitment to progress, the first Business Council meeting of the year set an inspiring tone for the months ahead. At the end of February, Ljubljana became the meeting point for hospitality leaders from across Hungary and Southeast Europe. The Business Council Meeting (Q1 2026) brought colleagues together for two days of strategic conversations, knowledge sharing, and regional alignment at Four Points by Sheraton Ljubljana Mons. The meeting began with a dedicated HR leadership session, welcoming colleagues from 11 countries to align on priorities guiding our people strategy in 2026. Representing JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, Dana Baitanciuc, Director of Human Resources and Chair of HR within the Business Council, led discussions around people strategy, talent development, and strengthening our teams across the region. The second day welcomed General Managers from across Hungary and Southeast Europe. Ioan Maties , General Manager of JW Marriott Bucharest and Chair of the Hungary & Southeast Europe Business Council, guided discussions on regional performance, 2026 priorities, Serve 360 initiatives, Government Affairs, and upcoming council events. The meeting was supported by Alexandra Milu, Communication Chair within the Business Council and part of our Guest Experience team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination throughout the sessions. A meaningful moment of the program was the Serve 360 community activity, where participants joined the host hotel’s team in supporting Center Anite Ogulin, helping prepare essential supplies for children in need. An inspiring start to the year and a strong foundation for everything we will accomplish together in 2026. ✨
