Adding to the world’s largest LNG expansion QatarEnergy awards EPC contract for the North Field West 16 MTPA LNG Project QatarEnergy has awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the onshore LNG plant of the North Field West (NFW) project, a key component of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) expansion, and the last in a series of expansion projects that will raise the State of Qatar’s production to 142 million tons per annum (MTPA). The scope of the onshore EPC contract includes two LNG mega-trains with a combined production capacity of 16 MTPA, as well as associated facilities for gas treatment, natural gas liquids recovery, and helium extraction. In addition to LNG production, the project is expected to produce about 175,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of condensate, ethane, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The EPC contract was awarded to a joint venture made up of Technip Energies, Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), and Gulf Asia Contractor (GAC). The award was marked by a signing ceremony held at QatarEnergy’s headquarters in Doha and attended by senior executives from QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy LNG, and the EPC Contractor’s member companies. The agreement was signed by His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, Mr. Arnaud Pieton, the CEO of Technip Energies, Mr. Samer Khoury, the Chairman of CCC, and Dr. Ravi Pillai, the Chairman and Managing Director of GAC. Commenting on this occasion, His Excellency Minister Al-Kaabi said: “This contract represents an important addition to the world’s largest LNG expansion project and reinforces Qatar’s commitment to meeting the growing global LNG demand.” H.E. Al-Kaabi added: “The North Field West project follows in the footsteps of the North Field East (32 MTPA) and South (16 MTPA) projects, placing strong emphasis on environmental performance. Key features include a carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) capacity of 1.1 MTPA, which takes us closer towards achieving our target of capturing and sequestering more than 11 MTPA of CO2 by 2035." #QatarEnergy #YourEnergyTransitionPartner #Qatar

في إضافة ضخمة جديدة إلى أكبر مشاريع توسعة الغاز الطبيعي المسال في العالم قطر للطاقة ترسي عقد الهندسة والمشتريات والإنشاءات لمشروع حقل الشمال الغربي البالغة سعته 16 مليون طن سنوياً من الغاز الطبيعي المسال أعلنت قطر للطاقة ترسية عقد الهندسة والمشتريات والإنشاءات لخطوط إنتاج الغاز الطبيعي المسال لمشروع حقل الشمال الغربي، الذي يُعد أحد المكونات الرئيسة لأكبر توسعة للغاز الطبيعي المسال في العالم، والمشروع الأخير في سلسلة مشاريع التوسعة التي من شأنها أن ترفع انتاج دولة قطر إلى 142 مليون طن سنوياً. ويشمل نطاق عقد الإنشاء خطين عملاقين لإنتاج الغاز الطبيعي المسال بطاقة إنتاجية إجمالية تبلغ 16 مليون طن سنوياً، إضافة إلى المرافق المرتبطة بمعالجة الغاز، واستخلاص سوائل الغاز الطبيعي والهيليوم. وإلى جانب الغاز الطبيعي المسال، سينتج المشروع حوالي 175 ألف برميل نفط مكافئ يومياً من المكثفات، والإيثان، وغاز البترول المسال. وتم منح العقد إلى تحالف يضم كلاً من شركة تكنيب إنرجيز، وشركة اتحاد المقاولين، وشركة خليج آسيا للمقاولات، وذلك في حفل خاص أقيم في المبنى الرئيس لقطر للطاقة في الدوحة بحضور كبار المسؤولين التنفيذيين من قطر للطاقة، وقطر للطاقة للغاز الطبيعي المسال، والشركات الأعضاء في التحالف. ووقّع العقد كلاً من سعادة المهندس سعد بن شريده الكعبي، وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للطاقة، والسيد آرنو بييتون، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة تكنيب إنرجيز، والسيد سامر خوري، رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة اتحاد المقاولين، والدكتور رافي بيلاي، رئيس مجلس الإدارة والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة خليج آسيا للمقاولات. وفي معرض تعليقه بهذه المناسبة، قال سعادة الوزير الكعبي: "يمثل هذا العقد إضافة مهمة على طريق تنفيذ أكبر مشاريع توسعة الغاز الطبيعي المسال في العالم، وهو ما يعزز التزام دولة قطر بتلبية الطلب العالمي المتزايد على الغاز الطبيعي المسال." وأضاف سعادته: "يسير تنفيذ مشروع حقل الشمال الغربي على خطى مشروعي حقل الشمال الشرقي (32 مليون طن سنوياً) وحقل الشمال الجنوبي (16 مليون طن سنوياً)، مع التركيز بشكل كبير على الأداء البيئي. ويشتمل المشروع على طاقة احتجاز وتخزين ثاني أكسيد الكربون تبلغ 1,1 مليون طن سنوياً، وهو ما يقربنا أكثر من تحقيق هدفنا المتمثل في احتجاز وتخزين ما يزيد على 11 مليون طن سنوياً من ثاني أكسيد الكربون بحلول عام 2035." #قطر_للطاقة⁣ #قطر
