Last Friday we talked about the #FutureofWork, and for once, it didn’t feel abstract or speculative. As part of the 𝐢𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 at TASIS Portugal, I had the pleasure of hosting a panel with an inspiring group of people who don’t talk about the future of work. They actively shape it: milan amzic, bringing the raw reality of creative work in a world where AI is already an everyday extension Ian Truitner, exploring where human creativity, storytelling, and machine output increasingly blur Pierre Khemdoudi, grounding the discussion in automation, trust, and repeatable execution in complex, regulated environments Aaron Margolis, showing how AI radically amplifies individual capability, if we’re willing to adapt What stayed with me most wasn’t a single prediction, but a shared insight: There is no longer a “future state” of work. There is only continuous adjustment. Some thoughts that stuck: - AI doesn’t replace work. It constantly moves the goalposts - Productivity accelerates faster than our ability to judge it - Experience still matters, but adaptability matters so much more The real risk isn’t technology.
