Today, we celebrate the first year of Biedronka in Slovakia. 🎉 On 5 March 2025, Biedronka opened its first Slovak store in Miloslavov, together with a modern distribution centre in Voderady. Just one year later, the Company employs over 400 people and already operates 15 stores across the country, offering a wide range of Private Brand products that reflect our strong partnerships with local suppliers and food producers. To mark its first anniversary, the Company is launching the Biedronka app to Slovak customers, with the much-loved Shakeomat feature, reinforcing its commitment to offer value, convenience and personalised promotions. While this first year has been full of important achievements, it is only the beginning. Our growth journey continues, with plans to reach 50 Biedronka stores across Slovakia by the end of 2026.   Thank you to our customers, employees and partners for being part of this important milestone.

Ara has presented its new digital experience, just a shake away. Following on the success of Biedronka’s Shakeomat and Pingo Doce’s Poupa Shaker, Ara launched its first mobile app featuring one of the most relevant drivers of consumer engagement with the digital ecosystems of our Food Distributions banners. With a simple “shake” on the phone, customers get access to exclusive daily promotions, tailored to each specific habits and preferences. A solution designed to create relevance, proximity and value in every interaction. In the first four months, Ara’s app recorded more than 1.1 million downloads and registered over 6.8 million shakes.
