On May 27ᵗʰ, Evertis welcomed the Portuguese Ambassador to Lithuania, Dr. José Fernando Alves da Costa Pereira, to our facilities in Portalegre. The visit comes as Evertis advances the construction of Evertis Lithuania, our new production facility expected to begin operations in the first half of 2027. Representing an investment of more than €30 million, the project marks the first industrial investment of the Portuguese Group in Lithuania and will contribute to strengthening economic ties between both countries. During the visit, we also had the opportunity to present Evertis’ industrial, technological and sustainability capabilities, as well as IMG Group’s international development strategy. We’ve been proudly supporting the MICRO research initiative led by Venice Lagoon Plastic Free (VLPF) since 2024. An organisation dedicated to studying and reducing microplastic pollution in the Venice Lagoon, one of Europe’s most fragile coastal ecosystems. Following the success of MICRO 1.0, the project advanced with MICRO 2.0, expanding fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and the use of environmentally responsible research methods. The initiative brought together students, educators, researchers, and local stakeholders, combining scientific rigor with hands-on action. Beyond the data, what stands out is the impact it has on the community, raising awareness, educating future generations, and reinforcing how everyday behaviors can shape our environment.
