Bringing Ideas to Life

About us

Pakistan’s first Enterprise Class public cloud computing platform. We are an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud provider offering flexible and robust cloud solutions to power the Mission Critical applications of businesses across the country. Established in 2012, Rapid is one among a long list of IT offerings from CYBERNET, the industry’s leading internet service provider and part of the Lakson Group. The infrastructure behind Rapid has been set up by our engineers keeping in mind the needs of today’s businesses. We have multiple data centers nationwide (three in Karachi and one in Lahore), giving our customers the ability to pick their Primary and DR sites as per their preference. It also allows them to benefit from increased reliability by ensuring their data is being backed up in multiple geo-redundant locations. We are also the first local cloud service provider offering our customers multi hypervisor support. Our customers can choose from Citrix Xen, VMware and KVM according to the needs of their business.

  • Here's the thing about building cloud infrastructure: your hypervisor choice determines whether you're in control or just renting someone else's decisions. Rapid went with Cobolt (Powered by Openstack). Open source. Which means we're not waiting on a vendor to approve features, stuck paying licensing fees, or limited by someone else's roadmap. We control the stack. We extend what we need. We optimize how we want. [Rapid Compute, Engineered By Design, Cloud Infrastructure, Built With Intention]

  • When operations, billing, and monitoring live in separate tools, you get: - Billing that doesn't match infrastructure state. - Monitoring that can't explain usage spikes. - Operations teams troubleshooting blind. OnePlace eliminates that gap. Infrastructure telemetry, metering, and billing, all integrated in one control plane. [Rapid Compute, Engineered By Design, Cloud Infrastructure, Built With Intention]

  • Billing accuracy doesn't start when invoices are generated. It starts the moment you consume resources. OnePlace captures usage events in real-time, not at month-end reconciliation. Precision begins at consumption, not at reporting. [Rapid Compute, Engineered By Design, Cloud Infrastructure, Built With Intention]

  • Disconnected tools mean disconnected accountability. Rapid was built as a unified system. One control plane. One source of operational truth. Integration isn't something we added later. It's how we designed the platform from day one. [Rapid, Engineered By Design, Cloud Infrastructure, Built With Intention]

  • Cloud infrastructure isn't just compute and storage. It's virtualization, networking, billing, monitoring all working together. We built Rapid as one integrated system. Virtualization talks to networking. Billing reflects actual resource consumption. Monitoring connects to operations. When components are designed to work together from the start, nothing gets lost in translation. [Rapid, Engineered By Design, Cloud Infrastructure, Built With Intention]

  • Systems work best when they are built to function together. Rapid unifies virtualization, networking, storage, billing, and monitoring into one aligned architecture. Designed for cohesion. Engineered for clarity. [Rapid, Engineered By Design, Cloud Infrastructure, Built With Intention]

Geopolitical risk is now a cloud infrastructure problem. The AWS Bahrain (ME-SOUTH-1) disruption — twice in one month — has brought a hard question to the surface for every CISO, CTO, and board in Pakistan's financial sector: Is your cloud where your data is supposed to be? SBP and SECP frameworks exist for exactly this reason. Data residency. Business continuity. Regulatory accountability. Offshore hosting in conflict-affected regions puts all three at risk. At Rapid, we've built Pakistan-sovereign infrastructure with Tier 3 rated Availability Zones. And right now, we're making our Technical Advisory Group available at zero cost to help affected enterprises assess, plan, and migrate — safely and without disruption. We've published a full advisory for the sector. If you're evaluating your options, this is a good place to start. #DataSovereignty #CloudMigration #PakistanCloud #FinancialServices #CyberResilience #RapidCompute #CloudInfrastructure #BusinessContinuity
