How We Started Our Journey
In 1971, Joseph Jawhari, the founder of the salon, embarked on his journey in the hair industry. At the age of 8, working in Lebanon at a salon. It was during this time that he discovered his passion and the joy of connecting with people. Joseph’s dedication and love for his craft led him to leave school at the age of 12 to pursue his dreams further.
Throughout his career, Joseph had the privilege of working with talented artists worldwide. In 1977, he moved to Canada, and in 1979, he opened his first salon, The Principal Looks. But Joseph’s vision didn’t stop there – he wanted to create a salon that had a funky and sophisticated vibe. In 1984, Pink Lime was born.
Pink Lime became the beauty destination in Yaletown, Vancouver. Its sophisticated atmosphere made it stand out in the vibrant Yaletown neighborhood. In 1995, Pink Lime expanded to Calgary, and by 1997, it finally settled in Vancouver with Joseph and his wife, Lina.
