  • The 75th PMAP SOCCSKSARGEN Chapter General Membership Meeting and Induction of Officers successfully combined knowledge sharing and leadership transition, marking a significant milestone for the chapter. The program commenced with an insightful learning session led by Dr. Josette Reyes, PMAP National Board of Trustee, who presented on “Data-Driven HR in a Changing Workforce.” She emphasized that while AI analytics provide powerful tools for human resource management, it is leadership grounded in insight, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to people that ultimately guides their effective use. The latter part of the program featured the formal induction of the chapter’s officers. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Grace Iligan, PMAP National Board Secretary, with the presentation and charging of officers conducted by Dr. Kenneth Sanido, PMAP National Trustee for Mindanao. Mr. Ranie Pacheca, the newly inducted 2026 PMAP SOCCSKSARGEN President, will lead the chapter with a strong focus on capacity building, community collaboration, and purpose-driven leadership. The induction of JPMAP officers also took place, strengthening alignment with the JPMAP national organization and ensuring continued collaboration across chapters. The event highlighted PMAP SOCCSKSARGEN’s commitment to fostering leadership, promoting learning, and building a collaborative HR community that is ready to meet the challenges of a changing workforce.

  • The Labor Policy Reforms and Industrial Relations (LPRIR) Committee successfully concluded the March IR Kapihan with a timely session: “Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Detailed Checklist.” With strong participation from HR practitioners, the session underscored workplace safety as a growing strategic priority. Participants gained practical insights on applying the OSH Checklist—from HIRAC and emergency preparedness to updated requirements under DO 252, s. 2025. The session featured Dr. Marco Antonio S. Valeros, Medical Officer IV of DOLE-BWC, with opening remarks from Atty. Lilibeth R. Carao of Vitarich Corporation, moderated by Monette F. Pangan of ALPLA Philippines Inc., and hosted by Maria Soledad D. Amir, PMAP 2026 Treasurer. The discussion reinforced that OSH is more than compliance, it is a proactive, dynamic system that manages risks, safeguards workers, and ensures organizations remain both compliant and operational.

  • Today, March 27, 2026, we had the honor of welcoming the Sison Family—the family of late PMAP Founder, Perfecto S. Sison Sr., DPM—to the PMAP Center. The visit was led by Fr. Nuel Sison, OMI, son of Perfecto S. Sison Sr., DPM, marking a meaningful homecoming to the place where his father’s legacy continues to thrive. We were privileged to share this moment with PMAP Founding Charter Member Vicente Abella, DPM, accompanied by his daughter, 2009 PMAP President Grace Abella-Zata, DPM, as well as 2011 PMAP President Bong Austero, DPM. PMAP Executive Director Rene Gener, DPM, warmly welcomed the Sison family on behalf of the organization. The family was given a tour of the PMAP Center and took part in a short presentation that revisited the organization’s history and honored the enduring contributions of Mr. Sison. The visit concluded with a heartfelt moment at the bust of their father and grandfather—a simple yet powerful tribute to a legacy that remains deeply woven into the foundation of PMAP.
