About us

TracPlus specialises in developing leading telemetry and data solutions that make wildfire fighting organisations safer and more efficient. TracPlus is the only commercial provider to deliver a whole-of-country solution for integrated aircraft tracking in the wildfire management space. We do this by tying multiple data streams and asset types into a single view of the truth for mission-critical operations and deliver situational awareness to operators, irrespective of who owns the asset, what the asset is, who provides the tracking, or what the platform or signal type is — be it IP, IoT, cellular or satellite. Our powerful, cloud-based platform enables our customers to track, manage, monitor, and message their personnel and resources, including land, maritime, and aviation assets, to keep crews safe, conserve resources, and maximise coordinated efforts. As the trusted provider of the mission-critical tracking and communications platform for first responders, government agencies, militaries, and other critical operators around the world, TracPlus has been present at virtually every major disaster response globally in the past five years.

  • Helicopter Express has built a formidable reputation over nearly three decades for the quality of its people, equipment, and service. Reflecting that standard, they've chosen TracPlus to bring their 46 helicopters, across multiple types and operating bases, into one unified operating picture. We're proud to be part of the next chapter for Helicopter Express. • AFF Rome always brings together a wide cross-section of the aerial firefighting community. This year was no different. We hosted a small dinner alongside the event with agency leaders from across the network. A good chance to step away from the expo floor and have more direct conversations about what’s actually happening in operations. What stood out was how consistent the themes are. Different geographies, different structures, but a shared set of challenges around visibility, coordination, and how decisions get made under pressure. Appreciate everyone who joined us and contributed openly to the discussion. #AFFRome #AerialFirefighting #WildfireManagement #UAS #AviationSafety #DataAnalytics #GovTech

  • Manual flight reporting leads to revenue leakage, billing disputes and tough conversations around contract compliance, with some studies showing between 5-15% error rates. By automatically collecting and standardising flight data, conversations about billing accuracy are a thing of the past and every drop of revenue is collected appropriately. TracPlus helps leading operators get hold of this situation, improve their billing accuracy and reduce manual error rates. These are just some of the ways in which operators are transforming their organisations with TracPlus: ✅ Streamlined reporting ✅ Daily flight summaries ✅ Detailed drop reports Your fleet is working hard. Ensure your billing reflects it. #AerialFirefighting #ContractCompliance #FlightOps #RevenueAssurance

  • As agencies integrate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Next-Gen VTOL into wildfire operations, real-time coordination becomes a safety imperative. Without a Common Operating Picture (COP) that spans both manned and unmanned assets, agencies risk fragmented situational awareness and operational bottlenecks. The Requirement for an efficient COP system: ➡ Agnostic Interoperability: real-time tracking across all assets, regardless of hardware or aircraft type. ➡ Resilient Communications: reliable data flow in contested or remote environments. ➡ Regulatory Alignment: full compliance with federal safety and reporting standards. ➡ After-Action Intelligence: detailed information for post-mission debriefing. The TracPlus Solution: When mission safety depends on split-second decisions, TracPlus provides the data intelligence required for total aerial fleet synchronization: ✅ Unified Data: Bridges 70+ tracking providers through TracPlus DataBridge for a single, authoritative view. ✅ Mission-Critical Connectivity: Complementary satellite, cellular and ADS-B data connectivity ensures persistent tracking for high-stakes aerial firefighting. ✅ Increases Safety: TracPlus's proactive risk alert and hazard monitoring systems ✅ Advance reporting: Streamlines reporting and operational oversight across all aerial assets regardless of type. Adopting advanced tracking technology is no longer a burden. TracPlus offers the unified solution that aerial firefighting agencies and operators rely on, delivering critical data visibility without integration friction. #WildfireResponse #AerialFirefighting #DroneTechnology #EmergencyManagement

  • According to the World Resources Institute, we have endured 4 of the 5 worst wildfire years in history since 2020. Facing a threat of this magnitude, the era of proprietary, walled-off technology is changing. True resilience is forged through strategic interoperability, uniting best-in-class systems to solve complex operational puzzles. At TracPlus, we believe a key part of the future lies in data fusion. Our collaboration with OroraTech proves this model works. By layering our verified aircraft tracking and drop data over OroraTech’s satellite-derived fire perimeters, we help close the gap between the asset and the threat. John O'Hara, TracPlus CEO: “Pairing verified intelligence with satellite insights lets leaders direct actions with confidence.” Dr. Martin Langer, OroraTech CEO & CTO: “Responders see not just what the fire is doing, but why.” By partnering with the best, we aren't just innovating, we are building the unified defence that our agencies demand. Join the conversation on the future of interoperable firefighting.

The IDGA Wildfire Management Market Report confirms a critical reality: data silos undermine emergency response when every second counts. [link in comments 👇] The Problem: Aerial firefighting leaders are forced to act as human integrators, juggling multiple screens and fragmented data while fire conditions shift. The Solution: TracPlus provides a Common Operating Picture (COP) for aerial firefighting by fusing disparate data into a single pane of glass: ✅ Unified tracking of every aerial firefighting asset, regardless of tracking hardware on board. ✅ Fire perimeters visible alongside aircraft position and drop activity ✅ One authoritative source of truth for faster, safer responses before, during and post mission. When data is interoperable, responders can focus on the mission, not the software. See how we unify the response below.

  • Thanks to everyone who took time to meet with us at the United Aerial Firefighters Association (UAFA) Annual Conference and attended the Innovation Panel featuring Todd O’Hara. We enjoyed our conversations, and there were a few themes that emerged throughout the event, including the need to modernize legacy systems used in aerial firefighting, improve real-time operational intelligence to support better coordination, and using technology to improve safety by identifying patterns and potential risks earlier. We look forward to continuing the conversation. If you’re exploring ways to modernize operations, enhance real-time visibility, or strengthen safety, visit the TracPlus website or contact our team to discuss how we can help: https://loom.ly/MY7toyA
