Trust is where care begins When nurses are learning to care for patients, confidence matters. So does realism, empathy, and making the right decisions under pressure. vrClinicals for Nursing is co‑created with instructors and simulation lab managers from leading nursing schools. It enables students to practice natural, realistic conversations with virtual patients, helping them build communication skills and clinical judgment in a safe, trusted environment. Powered by Wolters Kluwer Expert AI, vrClinicals supports learners as they care for multiple patients, make prioritization choices, and reflect on their decisions—together with peers and educators. “It feels real to them, and it gives them confidence. The students take the prioritization of patients very seriously,” said Patricia Pietro. Education grounded in trust and care prepares nurses for the moments that matter most. Hi, it’s Maria Joao Montenegro. This is my final post for the #LinkedInTakeover. Everything I’ve shared here comes back to one question: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆? For us, the answer is our values, lived in the work: 🎯 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 By starting with what our customers are accountable for and building from there. 📌 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 By making real choices about where we focus and where we do not. 🚀 𝗔𝗶𝗺 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 By turning ideas into products and improvements, customers can rely on. 🤝 𝗪𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 By leaning on each other’s expertise and doing the work together. I see this in how teams listen, make decisions, build, and deliver. Day after day. Thanks for following along. I’m handing things over to Caroline Wouters, our Chief Brand and Communications Officer. Over to you, Caroline.

Internal audit is evolving from a compliance checkpoint to a strategic partner in managing risk. And a risk-based approach is driving that shift. Instead of treating all processes equally, it focuses on where organizations face the greatest exposure and potential impact. Our practical guide explores how to align audit efforts with real-world risk, helping teams move beyond checklists and toward more focused, insight-driven audits. https://ow.ly/Ftlj50Z5iRQ #InternalAudit #RiskManagement #Governance #Compliance #WoltersKluwer

Tariff refunds may look like a financial win, but for CFOs, the tax implications are complex. Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to invalidate IEEPA tariffs, companies are now navigating a wave of refund claims. But as Mark Luscombe, a Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting expert, explains for CFO, those refunds don’t always translate into straightforward gains. In many cases, tariff refunds may be taxable under the tax benefit rule if they previously reduced reported income. For goods still held in inventory, refunds may instead adjust cost basis, shifting the impact to future reporting rather than creating an immediate tax event. CFOs must look beyond the refund itself and plan for the downstream tax, accounting, and operational implications. https://ow.ly/gANo50Z4Wao #CFO #Tax #Tariffs #FinanceLeadership #RiskManagement #WoltersKluwer

Confidence is built through experience With fewer clinical educators, limited placements, and growing demands on nursing schools, students need learning experiences that truly prepare them for practice. That’s where vrClinicals for Nursing makes a difference. Through realistic, unfolding, multi‑patient scenarios, students are challenged to prioritize care, respond to changing patient conditions, and make decisions under pressure—all in a safe, low‑risk environment that builds clinical judgment and confidence. As Madeline shared: “I loved it. The more realistic it is, the easier the transition into practice will be. When priority patients change—that’s exactly what happens during a nursing shift. A patient can be stable, then suddenly deteriorate. That’s what made the experience feel real.” By combining immersive simulation with trusted, expert‑driven design, vrClinicals helps future nurses feel prepared for the realities of care, before they step onto the floor. AI is reshaping legal work and redefining where real value comes from. As AI takes on drafting and research, the role of legal professionals is shifting toward something more critical: judgment. Evaluating AI-generated outputs, spotting risk, and applying business context are quickly becoming the most valuable legal skills. This shift is forcing legal teams to rethink how they operate from how talent is developed to how quality is measured. Traditional models built around billable hours and production no longer reflect how legal value is created in an AI-driven environment. Our recent expert insight explores how legal teams can adapt and redesign workflows, oversight, and value delivery for the AI era. https://ow.ly/4uaT50Z4i3r #LegalTech #AI #LegalOperations #RiskManagement #FutureOfWork #WoltersKluwer

High scores on medical AI benchmarks don’t guarantee safer patient care. As clinical AI advances, many systems are performing well on exams and case challenges, but that success can create a false sense of confidence. Strong benchmark performance doesn’t mean an AI tool is ready for real-world clinical decision-making. Our expert insight explores why clinical AI evaluation must go beyond benchmarks to ensure outputs are safe, reliable, and fit for use at the point of care. https://ow.ly/Uw2b50Z49Zx #HealthcareAI #ClinicalAI #PatientSafety #AI #HealthTech #WoltersKluwer
