Last week, our Food & Beverage department and the Basement Chefs joined forces with Luc Kusters , the first chef in the Netherlands to earn a Green Michelin Star. Together they presented a menu focused on local products, seasonal vegetables and respect for nature. 👨🍳🌱   We transformed the foyer of Hall 8 into ‘Harbour 8’: a premium fine-dining restaurant worthy of a Michelin-starred chef. The networking even starts onboard. Next-gen networking The Young Professionals Club returns, bringing together under-40 marine professionals to connect, grow and engage - both online and at the show, in a members-only lounge. Boat Builder Awards dinner with a sustainable twist Our very own Basement Chefs join forces with Green Michelin Star chef Kusters for a unique culinary experience during the Boat Builder Awards on 19 November - spotlighting local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. 🎓 New: Student Day For the first time, Metstrade opened its doors to Dutch students aged 16 and up. This new initiative gave over 100 MBO and HBO students from schools like CIOS Heerenveen, Firda Sneek and IVA Driebergen a chance to explore the marine industry. The goal? To highlight the sector’s innovation and diversity - and connect young talent with the companies shaping its future. We are proud to have such a unique event in our RAI portfolio.
