Building a Scalable GRESB Reporting Engine: Systems, Tools, and Governance In a new GRESB Insights article, Earthood explores why scaling sustainability reporting across real estate portfolios is less about effort—and more about systems, governance, and design. As portfolios grow, so does complexity: • Fragmented data across assets, tenants, and systems • Manual processes that increase risk and delay • Unclear ownership and inconsistent methodologies The article examines where reporting breaks down—and what leading managers are doing differently to build repeatable, scalable reporting engines. Because ultimately, the differentiator is no longer how hard you work—it’s how well your system is designed. 🔗 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eYm9nspR #GRESBInsights #RealEstate #DataManagement #Sustainability #RealAssets

In the latest episode of The Pulse by GRESB, GRESB’s David Tassadogh, Manager, Data Quality and Validation, speaks with Elliott Barnes, Managing Consultant at EVORA Global, about the growing importance of data quality in GRESB Assessments and sustainability reporting. As sustainability performance continues to improve across the industry, high-quality, asset-level data is becoming the key differentiator—shaping scores, supporting investor confidence, and enabling better decision-making. The conversation covers: ✅ What “data confidence” really means in the context of GRESB ✅ Why the asset-level spreadsheet is now the make-or-break factor for performance ✅ The risks of low-quality or incomplete data for scoring and capital access ✅ How granular data enables better benchmarking and targeted asset-level action ✅ Practical steps to improve data collection, validation, and automation Tune in to hear how stronger data foundations are helping organizations move beyond compliance—and unlock more value from their sustainability strategies. 🎧 Listen on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eFqQi8Af 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/eANkeGMU 🎥 Watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eq9Rb22H 👓 Read the transcript: https://lnkd.in/evyPgYht #GRESBPulse #DataQuality #RealAssets #Sustainability

GRESB in Australia & Aotearoa New Zealand: Key takeaways from the market Over the past 10 days, GRESB engaged with investors, members, and industry stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand through a series of roundtables and events. Led by Sarah Blankfield and Charles van Thiel, CAIA, with contributions from colleagues including Joss Blamire, Chris Pyke, and Karl Desai, these sessions brought together more than 70 participants across real estate and infrastructure to discuss evolving market dynamics, including the first Road to Performance public consultation roundtable globally. Across conversations, several themes consistently emerged: 🏗️ Return to fundamentals Sustainability continues to be framed as risk management, resilience, and financial performance—despite concerns around increasing compliance-driven approaches. 🌏 Regional divergence Shifting dynamics across markets, particularly in North America, are influencing how sustainability is communicated, though most participants remain focused on what they can control. ⚡ Energy transition as resilience Decarbonization is increasingly linked to energy security and independence, with regional nuances shaping how this is approached in practice. 🌱 Beyond decarbonization Stakeholders emphasized the need to broaden the sustainability agenda—highlighting biodiversity, nature, and social license as critical factors. 💰 Evolving sustainable finance A shift toward embedding sustainability within financing structures, alongside changing dynamics in sustainability-linked loans and capital allocation approaches. These discussions reflect a market that continues to evolve—adapting to regional realities while staying focused on long-term performance, resilience, and value creation. We look forward to continuing the conversation with our members and partners globally. #RealAssets #Sustainability #EnergyTransition #GRESB #APAC
