  • Last week at GoSpooky was Happiness Week! ✨ That meant all the good stuff: BBQ lunches, an amazing breakfast, our own barista, a full-on arcade hall and karaoke that probably should’ve stayed off camera. But beyond the fun, we focused on something we care about just as much: how we work. We hosted a series of workshops on productivity & prioritization, running effective 1:1s and mastering meetings. Because doing great work isn’t only about great ideas, it’s about creating the right structure and habits to make those ideas actually land. And staying creative only works if you stay smart too. Gijs brings strong experience at the intersection of media, content, and commerce. He most recently served as Brand Partnership Director at Highsnobiety, leading global partnerships across digital, print, and offline activations. Prior to that, he held multiple commercial leadership roles at VICE Media, including Commercial Director for VICE+ in the Netherlands, where he managed teams and drove revenue growth.     Socialemediabedrijven willen dat gebruikers tijdens het scrollen niet alleen inspiratie opdoen voor aankopen, maar ook gelijk op de bestelknop klikken. Het Nederlandse bedrijf GoSpooky produceert video’s voor bedrijven die daarmee aan de slag willen. Social commerce, zoals dit heet, is een groeimarkt, zegt medeoprichter Liam Tjoa. Onlangs opende het bedrijf speciale studio’s voor winkelvideo’s vlak bij het hoofdkantoor – een „livestreamfabriek” noemt Tjoa het. De studio is op de groei gebouwd. Het belangrijkste platform voor ‘sociaal winkelen’ is namelijk nog niet actief in Nederland. Dat is TikTok Shop, een pakket aan winkelfuncties waarmee de videoapp al in vijftien landen is uitgebreid.     Last weekend, Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad featured GoSpooky and our livestream studio in Amsterdam! The article explores the rise of social commerce and livestream shopping: where content, creators and commerce come together in one experience. In markets like China and the UK this model is already huge: discovery, entertainment and purchase all happening in the same moment. That’s exactly why we opened our livestream factory in Amsterdam: a space where brands can experiment with shoppable formats where watching and buying happen in the same place. With TikTok Shop expanding across Europe, it’s exciting to see this space gaining real momentum here as well. Article in the comments👇
