Flexiramics is a spin-off from the renowned MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. Its activities are focused on its core invention: Flexiramics®, a pure ceramic microfiber material that is light and flexible like paper but retains the main physiochemical properties of traditional ceramics. The most important properties of ceramics are heat resistance, electrical insulation and resistance to corrosion. All Flexiramics® products have the unique and novel characteristics of being pure ceramic and being flexible at the same time. The level of flexibility, density, the ceramic composition and the geometry of the material are just some of the parameters that can be customized based on our client’s needs. Flexiramics® material shows strong potential as a versatile substrate reinforcement in electronics and semiconductors, while also offering effective filtration media functionalities for separation and purification. It is suitable for catalytic support and structural reinforcement, enhancing strength and performance in various industrial applications. Furthermore, the material can serve as an efficient battery separator in energy storage and as a thermal interface material for both insulation and heat management solutions.

Yesterday’s State of Dutch Tech, organized by Techleap together with TNO and Invest-NL, had a refreshing kind of energy - more urgency, more ownership, and a clear signal from government that they are serious about reducing complexity so innovation can actually move. ⚡ Huge thanks to the organizers, speakers, and everyone who contributed to the conversations. 🙌It was great to see an event built around real dialogue rather than one‑way keynotes. In the open marketplace, many of us had the chance to highlight areas that deserve more focus. From the Flexiramics side, we brought in the perspective of advanced materials - the often‑overlooked foundation that enables so much of our tech ecosystem. It is encouraging to see the alignment needed to move from ambition to execution, with founders, industry, policymakers, and government pulling in the same direction. Excited to be part of this momentum and to help push it forward.🚀
🎉 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 is a wrap! And what a day it was 🌟 With 500+ founders, investors, policymakers, and leaders under one roof, the energy in The Hague was all about one thing: 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The day kicked off with a powerful panel featuring the Prime Minister Designate Rob Jetten, Peter Wennink (Former ASML CEO and author of Rapport Wennink), and Annabelle Vultee (CEO of GoodHabitz). This was followed by the launch of 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 by Bob Rietveld (Director of Community at Techleap), which Constantijn Van Oranje-Nassau then formally handed over to the Minister of Economic Affairs Vincent Karremans. We were also inspired by two special guests: Jeanette Epps, PhD (Former Astronaut at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and Omar Hatamleh, Ph.D (Former Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center), who challenged us to think bigger about our own moonshot ambitions. All moderated by the incredible Irene Rompa. In the afternoon, we replaced panels for an 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁, led by Davinia Levie (Head of Programmes and Events at Techleap). Instead of just listening, we got to work: identifying the core hurdles and defining first steps for 𝟭𝟱 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀. But this was never meant to be a one-day conversation. 💪 Today, the real work starts. We’re launching 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗣𝘀 (𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀) to turn yesterday’s discussions into real, long-term impact. The community voted for 𝟯 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, but all 15 challenges now move into execution mode, actively supported by TNO, Invest-NL and Techleap.
