Ambassador Handover 2025 – Brussels From 17–21 September, AEGEE had the pleasure of hosting the Ambassador Handover in Brussels, bringing together participants from AEGEE, Board of European Students of Technology, ESTIEM and EESTEC - Electrical Engineering STudents' European assoCiation. This unique event aimed to bring together the current and next generation of ambassadors to share knowledge, strengthen cooperation, and ensure meaningful partnerships begin right from the start of the term. 💡 The programme included workshops and training sessions on: • What it means to be an ambassador; • Discovering the other organisations and exploring collaborations and new projects (both locally and on the European Level); • Networking and external relations • Advocacy and grant opportunities But it wasn’t all work – there was also time to connect on a personal level, enjoy Belgian delicacies 🍫🍟, and experience Brussels at Night🌃. ✨ The outcomes? 🔹 A wealth of fresh ideas for stronger collaboration – both one-on-one and across all four organisations 🔹 Ambassadors are more connected and ready to act from day one 🔹 A clear wish to make this handover a yearly tradition 🔹 Most importantly: a strong foundation for future cooperation and friendships We are proud of what was achieved together and grateful to ESTIEM for co-leading the organisation of this edition. If so, then the Immersive Design Challenge is for you! 🚀 Siemens and Sony are challenging students worldwide to imagine sustainable design with immersive engineering. The Challenge? How would YOU use immersive design to make a product of your choice more sustainable? Who can participate? 🎓Students worldwide enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD program thru March 2025. 💻At least 1 team member learning or ready to learn CAD / NX as part of a multi-disciplinary team. ✨Teams of 3 to 5 students with diversity of all kinds encouraged for a high performing team. 🌎Passionate about sustainability and keen to learn sustainability skills. In collaboration with the University of Groningen, ESTIEM successfully organised the first edition of the Circular Economy course in Groningen, the Netherlands! 🇳🇱♻️ Guided by the exceptional instruction of Dr. Gerald Jonker, Dr. Mozhdeh Taheri, and Dr. Arjan Frederiks this course provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the topic of circular economy. Their dedication and expertise were instrumental in making complex topics accessible and actionable. This marked the inaugural session of a series of courses planned across various locations in Europe. Participants engaged in insightful discussions with like-minded peers, exchanging ideas and exploring innovative strategies to integrate circular economy principles into the future of sustainable business practices. Thank you again to the University of Groningen, Local Group Groningen, and our Instructors for organising this course!
