Back from ISMRM 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, our colleague Jeanette Ciesla, MSEE, MBA followed discussions across sessions and the exhibition floor, where a clear theme emerged 👇 Imaging performance is increasingly being discussed in direct connection with how systems behave in real clinical workflows. Many presentations continued pushing MR capability forward. At the same time, there was noticeable attention on how reliably these developments translate into consistent and reproducible clinical performance in everyday use. This naturally puts more focus on the imaging chain as a whole and how all elements contribute to stable system behavior once deployed in practice. ▶️ Overall, innovation is increasingly being discussed together with questions of real-world usability rather than in isolation. Did you attend ISMRM as well and leave with the same impression, or did you see different priorities emerging?

At European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) 2026 in Stockholm, one thing became increasingly clear: adaptive radiotherapy is no longer the “future direction” of the field. It is rapidly becoming routine clinical practice. ✅ Across scientific sessions and discussions, a consistent theme emerged. As adoption increases, the focus is shifting from conceptual development toward the system capabilities that enable precision in daily clinical workflows. In particular, image quality in CBCT and kV imaging continues to define the limits of what adaptive and image-guided radiotherapy can realistically achieve. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎: ▶️ Adaptive radiotherapy is entering routine clinical practice ▶️ The key limitation is shifting from concepts to system performance ▶️ Image quality is a key driver of clinical precision ▶️ CBCT and kV imaging performance remain critical focus areas From a Dunlee team perspective, it was great to see colleagues from Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and R&D attending ESTRO together, ensuring that these clinical insights are reflected across both market understanding and technology focus areas. As adaptive workflows continue to scale, where do you see the biggest bottleneck today for achieving higher clinical precision: imaging performance, system integration, or workflow design? #ESTRO #Radiotherapy #CBCT #MedicalImaging #Innovation

At Dunlee, working across regions, teams, and time zones is part of our everyday business. 🌍 During our recent visit to CMEF and ICMD in China, we captured that global collaboration in a slightly different way. What started as a spontaneous and fun idea quickly turned into a great reflection of what international teamwork looks like in practice: colleagues across locations, functions, and cultures all contributing to one shared goal. From China to our global teams and beyond, this short clip is a reminder that behind every technology, project, and partnership, there are people working together every day to move things forward. Not our usual type of post but sometimes the small moments say the most about a teams culture. A big thank you to everyone who joined in and made this happen. 💙

In emergency departments, CT plays an increasingly important role in acute diagnostics. 🚑 A recent study published in Radiology (Vol. 316, Sept 2025) shows that CT use in U.S. emergency department encounters increased by more than 100% between 2013 and 2023, while overall visits slightly declined. As shown in the graphic, the strongest growth was observed in brain, spine, and abdomen/pelvis imaging. To us, this reflects the growing reliance on CT in the evaluation of acute and complex conditions in emergency care, which we also see in discussions with partners and clinicians across the field. At the same time, this development places higher demands on imaging systems. Emergency departments require CT systems that can support high patient volumes while maintaining consistent performance and availability. 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐩𝐮𝐭 and 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 are becoming increasingly important factors in daily clinical workflows, something that is consistently highlighted in conversations with users in the field. Technologies such as liquid metal bearing (LMB) X-ray sources can support these requirements by enabling stable operation and durability under continuous clinical use. We at Dunlee focus on CT X-ray source technologies such as CoolGlide LMB to support the reliability and performance requirements of modern CT environments. How is your organization experiencing the growing demand for CT in emergency care?

Not every bottleneck in CT is immediately visible 🔎 At ECR 2026, this came up quite a bit during our media roundtable. Together with Stefanie Krämer and Juli Gahi, we had some great discussions around how system performance is often shaped by components that don’t usually get much attention. It’s great to see this perspective now picked up by one of the leading media outlets in our industry, Healthcare in Europe. The article builds on exactly these conversations and brings an additional lens to how we look at next-generation CT. If you have a minute, the article is definitely worth a read. The link is in the comments below. Curious to hear your take: What’s a topic in CT we’re not talking about enough? #ECR2026 #CT #MedicalImaging #Radiology #Innovation #Dunlee

One of the most honest perspectives on medtech doesn’t come from experts. It comes from someone seeing it for the very first time. 👩🎓 Recently, we welcomed Hanna (9th grade) for a two-week internship at Dunlee in Hamburg. We asked her to share her impressions and decided to keep her words exactly as they are but have translated them in English: “My name is Hanna (9th grade) and I completed my two-week internship at Philips and Dunlee in Hamburg. I was particularly impressed by how much technology and precision goes into CT systems. I got to see how X-ray machines are tested and equipment is inspected. In the process, I realized how important it is that everything works flawlessly and how many tests are conducted to ensure safety. What really stuck with me was the teamwork. Everyone was very friendly, explained a lot to me, and included me. I never felt like ‘just an intern.’ What I’m taking away from the internship is how important teamwork, communication, and meticulous work are and that the field of medical technology is very international.” For us, moments like this matter 🤝 Thank you, Hanna, for your curiosity, your questions, and your perspective. We wish you all the best for what comes next. #Dunlee #Philips #MedTech #MedicalImaging #FutureTalent #Internship #Hamburg

It is possible to reach new levels of resolution in medical imaging. But sustaining them requires engineering excellence. 🔎 For us at Dunlee, ultra-high-resolution CT is not just about sharper images. It is about delivering stable, reliable performance when it matters most. Imaging delicate structures like the heart illustrates the challenge. Using a standard focal spot can create high-resolution noise that makes tiny arteries hard to see. Increasing power for clarity generates more heat and stress on the tube, putting system uptime at risk. That is why advanced engineering, from generator performance to focal spot stability and heat management, is essential. 🎥 In this clip from our #ECR2026 media roundtable, our colleagues Stefanie Krämer and Juli Gahi share insights from conversations with our engineers how these details make high-resolution and photon-counting CT usable in real clinical practice. For a deeper dive, our white paper explores these challenges and how they are solved in detail. ➡️ Feel free to reach out for full access to the white paper and to gain practical insights for high-resolution imaging. #Dunlee #MedicalImaging #PhotonCountingCT #UHRCT #Radiology #Innovation
