Back then, I didn’t fully understand what they meant when they spoke about governance, security, and economic stability. It sounded like “adult conversations.” But life has a way of teaching you things you once ignored. Now I understand. Because at some point, you stop just hearing about insecurity… and you start adjusting your life around it. And over time, we begin to normalize it. We adapt to pain in a way that makes it feel ordinary. But it shouldn’t be. Insecurity is not just a social issue, it is the biggest threat to any economic growth. People cannot be productive when their minds are occupied with survival. Businesses cannot thrive in an environment where uncertainty is constant. And families cannot live fully when fear sits in the background of every day. The primary responsibility of any government is SAFETY. Everything else depends on that foundation. Education. Economy. Innovation. Growth. None of it works without security. The recent abduction of children and teachers is heartbreaking. It forces a difficult question: What kind of society are we shaping when children grow up carrying fear instead of safety? What happens to empathy, trust, and hope in the next generation? These are not abstract questions. And they deserve urgent attention. Still, in the middle of all of this, one thing remains unchanged for me: We cannot give up on this country. This is home.
