  • So if i understood correctly it goes like this: 192.168.0.0/24 means hosts with IP addresses within the range of 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.254; another example would be: 192.168.0.0/16 means hosts with IP addresses within the range of 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.254.254 Commented Jul 1, 2018 at 1:49

    @FernandoGabrieli actually the interval ranges from 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.0.255, but the first and last are special. The former is called Network IP and the latter Broadcast IP Commented Nov 2, 2021 at 22:20
