Crease. It’s inevitable when it comes to foldable devices – or is it? Here’s the OPPO Find N6. OPPO claims that it is the first foldable with “Zero-Feel Crease”. It is indeed very smooth to glide my finger across, but how is the actual phone itself? Because if the phone is not good, there’s no point making it “zero-feel crease” in the first place.
So, let’s talk about all of it in today’s review of the OPPO Find N6.
That creaselessness
Okay, back to the inner display. OPPO says that it’s a “zero-feel crease” flexible display, and if we just look at it this way, the crease is indeed unnoticeable. If I just glide my finger across, I can’t really feel it either.
However, if I give it a bit of a push while swiping, I can definitely tell there’s a crease there. The light reflections can also show us the crease as well. But I gotta say, it’s really, really shallow if we compare it to the Galaxy Z Fold7.
Now, my Galaxy Z Fold7 here has a pretty flat crease when I first got it. But, it has been in my pocket since October 2025 and with that many months of folding and unfolding, the crease has definitely gone deeper and “settled” into its position. I don’t know how’s the crease on the Find N6 going to be in the long run.
OPPO did claim that after 600k folds, the Find N6 crease only got deeper by 22 micrometers, whereas the Z Fold7 went deeper by 165 micrometers. That’s a substantial difference – but I still want to know what time does to the crease.
OPPO did tell us that they achieved this by combining two different innovations. The first one is by using the second-generation Titanium Flexion Hinge, combined with a 3D Liquid Printing Technology to make the hinge as even as possible. Usually, the hinge has some gaps in between the mechanisms – and that 3D Liquid Printing Technology fills in those gaps. Kinda like resin, I guess? OPPO did claim that the height variation of the entire hinge is only 0.05mm.
Secondly, the display itself has something called an “auto-smoothing flex glass” that makes the flexible display go back to its original form. OPPO claims 338% of deformation resistance and 100% shape recovery, though I have no idea what those numbers are comparing to. All of this results in an up to 82% reduction of crease depth.
I gotta say, this is some great technology that OPPO implemented on the Find N6. The crease is definitely very flat – but not exactly “zero-feel” since I can definitely feel that crease. I guess marketing buzzword goes brrrrrrr. Of course, we don’t have the luxury of time to see how the crease changes over time.
Display quality – inner display
Now, how’s the display quality itself though? Well, the inner display is an 8.12-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2480×2248 pixels, goes up to 120Hz refresh rate as usual.
From our tests – we did two tests by the way, one for the left side and another for the right side – it can go up to around slightly less than 900 nits at most, and the minimum brightness is slightly less than 1 nit. Some might say that the maximum of around 893 nits is very low, I’m actually fine with it. There is an antireflective coating on the inner display. How do I know it? Look at this purple hue when light is reflected on it.
Anyway, we only have time to do the colorimeter test using the vivid color profile only. Honestly, both sides are doing really good. Both sides can cover virtually 100% of both sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts with a pretty good ΔE number across the board. While the maximum ΔE is slightly above 2.0, the average is really low so I believe that the maximum ΔE is an outlier.
Overall, this inner display is magnificent.
Outer display
What about the outer display then? It’s a 6.62-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2616×1140 pixels and goes up to 120Hz refresh rate as well. The maximum brightness though… is just not that good. It can only go up to around 773 nits at most, and goes down to around 1 nit.
The color gamut coverage is also not as good as the inner display since it can’t even hit 99% of DCI-P3. Sure, I’m nitpicking here, but hey – many flagships nowadays can reach 100% of sRGB and DCI-P3 easily. But at least for this case, the ΔE number is really low across the board.
Specs and performance
There is one thing that I want to highlight. Look at the specs page in the phone’s settings menu. It says Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. When we attended the briefing, OPPO also just mentioned that the Find N6 is using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, when we actually checked out the specs page, it only has 7 CPU cores as opposed to the usual 8 cores. This is the same situation as the Find N5. The lack of proper disclosure is a problem. Even on Qualcomm’s website, this is only disclosed via a tiny ass footnote.
Anyway, in our gaming test, yeah don’t expect to play high-end games on the Find N6 that much. It thermal throttles really early and also aggressively dims the screen. I mean, OPPO had to do this because the Find N6 is really thin, and there’s just no real effective cooling system to wick heat away from the chipset, and definitely no way to kick heat away from the phone.
I mean, yeah we can play some simpler games but anything like Wuthering Waves or Zenless Zone Zero or Genshin Impact – kinda yikes. Even before it thermal throttled, the FPS is kinda yikes as well.
Battery life
As for the battery life, this is actually an impressive part. The Find N6 comes packed with a 6,000mAh battery – no idea what the Wh value is, as OPPO did not publicize that data. Wh is a much better way to measure battery capacity – watch our video at the top right corner there to know why.
Using our standardized our battery life test, the cover display actually can last around 23 hours and 42 minutes. It’s really good, honestly.
Then when we redid the test with the unfolded display, it can last around 17 hours and 51 minutes. It definitely took a huge hit to the battery life – but surprisingly, not as big of a hit as I expected.
Charging test
Let’s also speedrun the charging speed. It does come with the 80W SUPERVOOC charger in the box as well, which is great though I do think that it is time to switch to USB-C to USB-C. Come on now.
Using the default settings, the OPPO Find N6 can charge from 15% to completion in around 65 minutes. It stopped at 99% for a very long time before actually bumping it up to 100%. But if we look at the temperature graph – the red line, it’s very, very weird. I actually have to redo this charging test because the first one overheated while charging.
Bumping it up to the maximum charging speed in the settings menu, it can actually charge faster but look at the temperature at the beginning. It’s the price to pay if we want the phone to have fast charging while being thin at the same time.
Using our USB-PD PPS charger, it can charge to the 50% mark slightly faster than the proprietary charger. While the temperature is slightly higher in average, there is no spikes compared to the SUPERVOOC charger. It’s quite surprising that OPPO supports USB-PD PPS so well.
Software
OPPO also upgraded the software a lot this time around. The Find N6 is using ColorOS 16.0.5 on top of Android 16, and it is practically the same as any other OPPO phones. However, we do have a few additional features to take advantage of the foldable form factor.
One of the new features that I like is the ability to switch between two multitasking modes. We still have the Boundless View as usual, which is a great feature to have. Just open apps and we can switch between them easily this way.
Another way to multitask is basically floating windows. OPPO calls it the “Free-Flow Window” for whatever reason.
Okay, I know these two multitasking modes don’t sound anything special but we can switch between the two modes by just using five fingers to pinch or expand. This is a really nice feature.
Other than that, there’s really nothing much to highlight here in terms of the software. Again, it’s basically the same as the Find X9 Pro, so check out that review instead.
Design
As for the design of this Find N6, it doesn’t look that much different compared to the Find N5. I do think that this design is really nice, and combined with this papaya orange color that OPPO calls it as the “Blossom Orange”, it looks really calming.
OPPO did highlight to us that the buttons are now placed lower to make them more ergonomic. I just want to say – thank you OPPO. I remember the Find N5’s power and volume rocker were terribly placed – so for them to address this is just great.
That camera bump is still as thicc as ever, but does it actually take good pics?
Camera
Well, we have a total of technically four cameras, but only three of them can actually take pictures. The last camera is actually a color sensor. We won’t really talk much about the cameras here, as we have another video talking about picture quality only. And we also compared the picture quality between the Find N6 and the Galaxy Z Fold7 too.
Overall, the Find N6’s cameras are great.
A few more things to mention
Okay, a few more things to mention about the OPPO Find N6. We have a USB 3.0 port at the bottom alongside display mirroring feature as well, and we also have dual SIM card slots.
We also do have an IR blaster at the top of the phone as well, which is a great feature to have.
Should you buy the OPPO Find N6?
Okay, should you buy the OPPO Find N6? Well, it depends if you want a foldable phone or not. I do believe that the price of RM8,699 is definitely really high. However, if you’re already interested in this device, I doubt the price is an issue anyway.
OPPO’s “zero-feel crease”, marketing aside, is an amazing innovation that I am truly impressed by.
The true question then becomes – are you okay with the battery life, the gaming performance, and the cameras of the OPPO Find N6? If you’re fine with it and the price is not an issue – then yeah, this is definitely suitable for you.
