  • 🌾 Just wrapped up a productive meeting with Bahagian Pengeluaran dan Perniagaan, Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP) We had the opportunity to demo the Kapitani platform, and we’re grateful for the positive response from their team. 🙌 One key point that stood out from the discussion was how Kapitani differentiates itself — we don’t just build tech for farmers, we build it with farmers. 💬👨🌾 Our entire tech stack is shaped by direct feedback from the ground, ensuring that what we develop truly meets the needs of our peladang. This bottom-up approach, rather than pushing technology top-down, is what continues to guide our mission. Thank you to the LPP team for the engagement and encouragement. Looking forward to more impactful collaborations ahead to digitize and empower Malaysia’s agriculture ecosystem. 🚜📱🌱 #Kapitani #BertaniBinaNegara Kementerian Digital Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)

  • Empowering Smallholder Farmers: A Shared Responsibility Alhamdulillah, we had the opportunity to meet with Ustaz Jamaly Juwardy Bin Jaafar and the agricultural team at Zakat Kedah. Listening to the struggles of smallholder farmers, we were reminded of the late Shahnon Ahmad’s Ranjau Sepanjang Jalan: “Padi is the lifeline of Lahuma, Jeha, and the entire village of Banggul Derdap.” “Fighting for padi means fighting for survival.” Unfortunately, for many farmers today, their reality remains unchanged—trapped in cycles of hardship despite modern advancements. This is why our work at Kapitani is critical. Smallholder farmers are the backbone of food security, yet they continue to face systemic challenges. By integrating digital solutions and financial inclusion models, we aim to create a sustainable pathway for them to thrive. A special thank you to Sadaqa House , Ustaz Nazri Chik and Ustaz Zikri Shairy for facilitating our engagement with LZNK. This is part of the economic jihad that we must undertake—ensuring our farmers are not left behind. Let’s work together to empower those who feed the nation. #Kapitani #SmallholderFarmers #FoodSecurity #Agritech

  • From Paid to Freemium: Unlocking Kapitani Apps for All Farmers For the past two quarters, we’ve been on a journey—testing, learning, and refining. We introduced Kapitani Apps as a paid product, aiming to validate the right market segment that would benefit most from our digital farm management tools. But along the way, we realized something important. Farmers, from the smallest growers to commercial producers, face common challenges—access to structured record-keeping, financial insights, and compliance reporting. However, making these tools accessible to only a segment of farmers wasn’t aligned with our bigger vision. Kapitani was never about limiting impact. It was about enabling all farmers to grow smarter, increase productivity, and future-proof their businesses. That’s why we’re making a bold shift—transitioning Kapitani Apps to a freemium model. With this, every farmer nationwide will have access to essential farm management tools at no cost, while advanced features will be available for those who need deeper analytics, automation, and integrations. Our goal remains the same: Empower farmers with data, simplify decision-making, and build a more resilient agricultural sector. To the farmers, partners, and supporters who’ve been with us on this journey—thank you. This is just the beginning of a bigger movement. Let’s build the future of farming, together. 🌱📲 #Kapitani #DigitalFarming #AgTech #FarmersFirst

  • Proud to highlight Kapitani's role in the Project Hijrah Asnaf Tanaman Tembikai in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan! Some of our successful farmers have boosted their yields from RM 10,000 to an impressive RM 35,000. While factors like market prices and improved farm infrastructure contributed, Kapitani's Digital Farm Management system played a key role by providing essential farm-level data and transactional records. This empowered farmers to better understand their practices and efficiency. En. Rosli Jusoh, Head of Agrobank Center of Excellence, noted that this is the first project in Malaysia to utilize digital farm management for record-keeping. The result? Enhanced financial literacy for the B40 community and improved financial reporting for Agrobank. A win for innovation and impact!

  • Kapitani Revolutionizes Digital Farm Management for myGAP Certification, Slashing Reporting Time by Over 90% Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – In a strategic move to modernize Malaysia’s agricultural landscape, Kapitani has successfully introduced its Digital Farm Management Platform to private myGAP mentors (Pembimbing myGAP Swasta), marking a significant step forward in streamlining compliance and farm data management. With a proven ability to cut myGAP reporting time from a conventional 7-day to 3-week process down to just three hours, Kapitani’s platform is poised to transform how farmers manage and document their farm operations. This improvement not only accelerates compliance reporting but also empowers farmers with real-time financial oversight, a critical aspect for sustainable agribusiness growth. "This is a game-changer for farm operators and agribusinesses looking to scale efficiently while ensuring regulatory compliance. Our digital solution not only saves time but enhances decision-making by integrating financial analytics directly into farm reports," said Syed Salleh Syed Sulaiman, Kapitani’s Ecosystem Builder. During a recent session with the Director of the Crop Quality Control Division (Pengarah Bahagian Kawalan Kualiti Tanaman), Kapitani demonstrated live simulations of its automated reporting system. The platform seamlessly aggregated farm records, financial statements, and compliance data into a structured report, providing a preview of how digital adoption could redefine certification readiness for Malaysia’s agriculture sector. myGAP (Malaysia Good Agricultural Practices) certification is a crucial benchmark for farms to ensure sustainability, environmental responsibility, and quality assurance in agricultural production. However, one of the long-standing challenges has been the cumbersome paperwork and manual data tracking required for compliance. Kapitani’s Digital Farm Management Platform eliminates these inefficiencies, allowing farmers to allocate more time to operational excellence rather than administrative burdens. With Malaysia’s agritech sector on the rise and increased focus on digital transformation, Kapitani’s efforts align with the broader push for smart farming solutions that optimize productivity and transparency. As the platform gains traction among myGAP mentors and farm operators, it signals a shift towards a data-driven agricultural ecosystem that could set new benchmarks for ASEAN’s farming industry. Kapitani’s next steps involve scaling adoption among commercial and smallholder farmers, reinforcing Malaysia’s vision of a tech-enabled agricultural future. As agritech investors and policymakers continue to seek solutions that enhance food security and farm efficiency, Kapitani’s breakthrough with myGAP compliance could serve as a model for broader regional implementation.
