🌎 We’re excited to announce our new partnership with CONALEP (National College of Professional Technical Education) in Yucatan, Mexico – in collaboration with Ominio AI! Together, we’re empowering 5,000 students to boost their employability and technical language skills through AI-powered coaching with Getmee technology. 🤖 This one-year contract will provide soft skills training, interview preparation, and technical vocabulary for students to practice professional communication comfortably before entering the workforce. Students will undergo weekly tasks designed to challenge their communication levels while advancing at their own pace. Weekly assessments and assigned tasks will be done to keep them progressing and moving forward as a cohort. The structure will be based around learning modules that result in a certificate of completion, along with their training. This #collaboration is all about helping young people build the confidence, #communication, and workplace-ready skills they need to thrive in the modern job market. Getmee AI, in partnership with Ominio AI, has officially launched a six-week AI coaching program across four public universities, empowering over 1,000 students to strengthen their: ✅ English communication ✅ Soft skills (critical thinking, empathy, conflict resolution) ✅ Interview readiness Through hyper-personalised #AI learning, students complete weekly activities, from simulated interviews to real-time communication practice, building the skills they need to land their ideal job and succeed in the global workforce. 🎓 Those who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion to showcase on their CVs. Infrastructure is destiny. This week, I attended what’s likely the most important AI summit in LATAM this year: the Fintual–OpenAI AI Summit in Mexico City. For Ominio, our focus was mainly on two fronts: - The conversation around AI regulation, given our emerging role as consultants for the public sector. - The future of education, where we build EdTech solutions that leverage AI for learning and skills development. One clear takeaway: if we want AI to serve our country, we need to do the groundwork locally. For Mexico, this means accelerating the development of digital infrastructure to unlock AI’s potential for economic growth. There’s work to do—on connectivity, computing capacity, and data digitization—but there’s political will and momentum. That’s why benefit-sharing and democratization were front and center in the discussions. If AI is trained only on data from English-speaking, high-income countries, it won’t understand or serve our people. We need models that reflect our languages, cultures, and challenges—including data from communities that have been invisible online, like many of our indigenous groups. And if we want to attract investment and fuel local innovation, we need flexible regulation—focused on enabling, not restricting. Sanction-heavy, rigid frameworks (like in the EU) could drive away the investment we need. AI shouldn’t just work for rich white guys in Silicon Valley. It should work in Chicxulub, in indigenous communities in Chiapas, in public hospitals and schools, in small businesses across the country.
