Miller Cooper & Co., Ltd. (“Miller Cooper,” “we,” or “us”) takes the privacy and security of your personal information seriously. Miller Cooper is a licensed CPA firm that provides accounting, tax, assurance, and consulting services to its clients.

This Privacy Policy describes how we may collect, use, and disclose your personal information, as well as the choices you have regarding our use of your information, our practices to safeguard the information we collect, and how to contact us regarding our privacy practices. For those users who are clients of Miller Cooper, we may also collect, use, and disclose your personal information pursuant to a contract, engagement letter, or other agreement (“Agreement”) we have with you. If any provision in your agreement with Miller Cooper conflicts with any provision in this Privacy Policy, your Agreement will control to the extent of such conflict.

Miller Cooper as a Service Provider

Most of our clients are businesses, and we may receive and process Personal Information when we provide services to those clients. When this happens, we process your Personal Information pursuant to our contract with our client, and that client’s privacy policy governs the use and disclosure of your Personal Information.

In the past twelve months we have collected the following types of Personal Information from and about users of our Website and Services:

We may also automatically collect certain information about you when you access or use the Website (“Usage Information”). Usage Information may include the following:

Such collection may occur on certain parts of the Website that are powered and facilitated by service providers such as the Client Portal (powered by Thomson Reuters), the recruitment portal (powered by Paycom) or the invoice payment option on the Website (powered by Apxium, a secure payment processor for credit card payments). We do not receive any credit card information from Apxium, but we may receive other Personal Information about you when you pay an invoice. We will treat any Personal Information received from any third-party service provider in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible or liable for the accuracy of the information provided by third parties or for third-party policies or practices.

How We Use Information We Collect

Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share for marketing purposes the Personal Information we collect through the Website or our Services with third parties. We do not disclose Personal Information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
