Puzzling Stack Exchange is considering implementing a "Generalist Asker" badge via the new Community Badges feature. The proposed badge's requirement would be exactly the same as the existing Generalist badge, with "answers" swapped for "questions":

Provide non-wiki questions of 15 total score in 20 of top 40 tags.

As part of this process, it would be illuminating to know how many users would currently be eligible for this badge. I've looked into SEDE queries, but

  • Some are track personal progress towards the Generalist answer badge; interesting, but not the overall statistic I'm looking for. Also, that query uses some magic to connect answers to their parent question's tags, and I don't know how to un-magic it to just use a question's tags directly.
  • Others test different numeric thresholds for the Generalist answers badge; more relevant, but still has the issue of me not knowing how to un-magic the tag mapping.
  • The badge itself uses a UserTagTotals table that is not publicly available

Puzzling is already eligible for the Generalist answers badge, so those thresholds aren't the issue. Can some SEDE wizard modify a Generalist query to swap As for Qs, and let us count how many Puzzling folks would get the new badge?

This query should do it. I'm no SQL expert, though, so it's possible I've made a mistake somewhere.
