3Good observation! The search is used for specific tasks that include filters. Given we don't support that in AI Assist, we didn't want to degrade the search experience for those users. I don't see us removing traditional search but we will work on making the dual experiences less confusing.Ash Zade– Ash Zade Staff2025-12-02 16:17:19 +00:00Commented Dec 2, 2025 at 16:17

how much do people browse posts via the listing in the homepage? as far as I know, it's a common joke that nobody knows the homepage even exists.starball– starball Mod2025-12-03 05:24:57 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2025 at 5:24

The upper one is obviously for "products search" and the lower one is for what you want to learn. Asking questions or searching the site for posts are no longer options you can pick.Lundin– Lundin2025-12-03 09:04:04 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2025 at 9:04

1@starball I do all the time. The secret is to have a LOT of favorite tags. Then one or two top questions on the home page become somewhat interesting.Basilevs– Basilevs2025-12-03 09:06:12 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2025 at 9:06

1@starball The homepage is still my go-to page for skimming through new(ish) questions, though it has certainly become less and less useful over the past year or two.DBS– DBS2025-12-03 09:51:25 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2025 at 9:51

1@starball the homepage is under-utilized and will be improved as part of the redesign project.Ash Zade– Ash Zade Staff2025-12-03 14:12:54 +00:00Commented Dec 3, 2025 at 14:12

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. stack-overflow), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
