10Can one of you brave mods ask whether writing in a gender-neutral fashion, so as to not misgender anyone, is acceptable under the new CoC? I'm curious :)Ask About Monica– Ask About Monica2019-10-08 05:34:44 +00:00Commented Oct 8, 2019 at 5:34

1@kbelder since they still haven't answered Monica's questions (and have not contacted her as promised)...well, we'll see. I think that this answer at least shows enough awareness of how it will be received (i.e. opposite of tone deaf) that I doubt they will follow through with a Thursday publication of the CoC changes, simply because of how bad it would look. But, we'll have to wait and see.Wildcard– Wildcard2019-10-08 07:07:09 +00:00Commented Oct 8, 2019 at 7:07

8@kbelder: As best as I can determine, it was asking that exact question that led to the firing in the first place, which seems to point to "No" as an answer.Jörg W Mittag– Jörg W Mittag2019-10-08 11:32:40 +00:00Commented Oct 8, 2019 at 11:32

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. stack-overflow), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
