Frequently Asked Questions
Is Medal safe to download?
Yes. Medal is used by over 20 million gamers. It does not inject into games, does not interact with anti-cheat, and does not contain malware. Always download from the official site at medal.tv/download.
Which games does Medal support for clip downloads?
Medal auto-detects 3,000+ games and clips 10,000+ more with manual capture, including Valorant, Fortnite, CS2, League of Legends, Roblox, Minecraft, and more. You can also browse and download any public clip from medal.tv, regardless of game.
What format and quality do Medal clips download in?
Clips download as standard MP4 files at the quality they were recorded, based on your settings in the Medal app. MP4 works everywhere: Discord, TikTok, YouTube, Premiere, CapCut.
Why does Medal host clips instead of using Streamable or YouTube?
Medal gives you instant share links the moment you clip - no uploading, no processing, no waiting. Anyone you send one to can watch the clip in their browser, even if they don’t use Medal. Streamable compresses your video and has view limits on free accounts. YouTube takes minutes to process and requires a separate app. Medal links embed perfectly on Discord and auto-format for TikTok.
How do I download Medal clips on PC?
In the Medal desktop app, right-click the clip in your library, select Download Clip, then choose Download Clip again in the window that opens. The clip saves as an MP4. For a clip you have not published, right-click it and choose Open File Location to go straight to the file on your PC.
How do I turn a Medal link into an MP4?
Open the medal.tv clip link in Chrome or Edge, click the 3 dots on the video player, and select Download, and the clip saves as an MP4. In Firefox, right-click the video and choose Save Video As. This works for any public clip on Medal, yours or someone else's.
How do I save all my Medal clips into a zip file?
Clips saved on your PC are MP4 files, so you can zip them with Windows. In Medal, right-click a clip and choose Open File Location, select the clips you want in the folder that opens, then right-click and use the Compress to ZIP option.
