In Marghera this week, the first steel was cut for Crystal Grace. Shaped with intention as an evolution of the Crystal journey, the ship has been thoughtfully designed around the details that matter most: space that feels truly expansive, service that feels deeply personal, and a greater sense of connection to the world beyond each voyage. Joined by our CEO, Cristina Levis, and our partners at FINCANTIERI, the celebration marked a key step toward her arrival in summer 2028. About us
For more than three decades, Crystal has been synonymous with exceptional, award-winning voyages. In 2022, A&K Travel Group (AKTG) acquired the Crystal brand and its two vessels, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, ushering in a new era of being Exceptional at Sea. The globally renowned cruise line offers discerning travelers industry-leading, authentic, and enriching experiences both onshore and at sea. Crystal’s pioneering partnership with Abercrombie & Kent provides guests with unparalleled access to the most sought-after experiences and destinations around the world. The reimagined ships boast larger, updated suites with artisanal finishes, and almost one member of crew per guest. Crystal is home to the first-ever Casino de Monte-Carlo at sea as part of an exclusive partnership with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), and world-class dining includes Umi Uma®, the only dining experience at sea by Michelin-rated chef Nobu (Nobuyuki Matsuhisa), and the only Beefbar on the ocean, a collaboration with visionary restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi, and a specially curated Osteria d’Ovidio menu by famed Italian chef Massimiliano and celebrated restaurateur Raffaele Alajmo. The ships also feature cutting-edge wellness at the Aurōra Spa, and spectacular entertainment including Broadway-standard shows. With a legacy of unrivaled service and commitment to sophistication and elegance at every touchpoint, once onboard guests feel as if they are perfectly at home.

Crystal Serenity enters a new chapter designed to elevate every aspect of her onboard experience this October during a three-week drydock. At her heart, the Atrium and Crystal Cove will be transformed into a beautiful social sanctuary, anchored by a striking marble dance floor and a De Castelli mosaic centerpiece. On Deck 12, a Pool Bar brings seamless service to the Seahorse Pool, complemented by tailored furnishings. Guest suites follow, with the Aquamarine Classic Suite thoughtfully renewed, featuring redesigned living areas and bathrooms while preserving their existing layout. Across the ship, enhancements continue, from Waterside and Stardust Club to Marketplace and beyond, alongside technical upgrades that advance efficiency, comfort, and environmental performance. Crystal Serenity returns November 8, sailing from Lisbon to Fort Lauderdale, ready to welcome guests into an even more exceptional setting.

Through Crystal’s collaboration with UT MD Anderson, we invited our community to share their personal stories and connections to cancer. What we received was deeply moving, stories of resilience, hope, and extraordinary strength. But one story, in particular, stopped us in our tracks. One of Crystal’s guest lecturers shared that at just 20 years old, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and turned to UT MD Anderson for treatment. Today, she is a survivor, an advocate, and an inspiring voice, sharing her perspective with travelers around the world. We could never have imagined that such a profound full-circle story would emerge from someone within the Crystal family itself. At the AKTG 100 Club, we brought together the Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group Global Advisory Board for a full day of strategic discussions with senior leadership across all brands, including A&K, Crystal Cruises, Cox & Kings and A&K Sanctuary. Under the leadership of Chairman Marett Taylor Taylor, the board reflects a deliberately diverse mix of partners across source markets, agency models and areas of expertise. This ensures we remain closely aligned with the trends shaping luxury travel globally. Discussions were wide-ranging, covering the future role of AI in the business, trade marketing strategy, new A&K Sanctuary lodges and riverboats, and the continued evolution of Tailormade travel for a global clientele. We are very grateful to all members who travelled to Chicago, in some cases from as far as Australia, to share their time, insight and expertise in shaping our strategic direction.
