Xiaomi wins EISA Smartphone award, Honor, Oppo, and Samsung get some love as well
EISA, the Expert Imaging and Sound Association, has announced its latest 2026-2027 smartphone awards. These are basically voted on by multiple EISA member publications, which have tested the products during the year using their own criteria, and there are at least five EISA member publications that have reviewed each device.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro won the EISA Smartphone award, thanks to its camera system, display, flagship chipset, and long-lasting battery. The Honor Magic V6 won the EISA Foldable Smartphone award, thanks to its class-leading battery capacity, IP ratings, displays, and performance.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra won the EISA Photo & Video Smartphone award, as it "raises the bar for smartphone photography with its uncompromising approach" of its "innovative camera system". EISA calls it "a competitor to super-zoom cameras", and the best option for "photographers seeking the ultimate range, image quality, and creative freedom" in a smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra won the EISA AI Smartphone award, because of its "innovative" AI features like Now Brief and Now Nudge, but also the AI-driven Photo Assist suite which enables "scene-level editing through voice and text prompts". The world's first built-in Privacy Display was also mentioned, as well as the machine-learning privacy alerts. EISA says this is "a benchmark smartphone for proactive, secure, and context-aware AI".
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung also won the EISA In-Ear Headphones award for the Galaxy Buds4 Pro, which are described as "a well-rounded choice for everyday high-fidelity listening". Their Enhanced Adaptive ANC is praised, as is the AI-powered Adaptive Noise Control, "which constantly analyses your surroundings to optimize noise levels", and Siren Detect, "which instantly allows emergency alerts to penetrate the ANC for safety". The Buds4 Pro also deliver "exceptionally clear calls".

if samsung leaves the us, samsung sales will go down. xiaomi has 4% market share in the us without selling it officially. even pixels have 3% market share. americans has been obsessed with xiaomi 17 pro/pro max since last year. imagine if the us let ...
