I ha... moreBTW, I forgot to mention that within 2 weeks of having received the device in March it was updated to HyperOS 3 running over Android 16, so anyone purchasing one now should expect a very prompt update from HyperOS 2 to 3 (Android 15 to 16) if their device has HyperOS 2 out of the box. I've had Xiaomi devices in the past marching through MIUI versions over their respective Android versions with no problem, and expect to get to at least Android 19 on this device. Not bad for $350 with the specs that go with that.

I've had mine since March 2026 and am loving it. I have no need for what are flagship level phones today as I haven't come close to exploiting "the outer limits" of any smartphone in years. This device beats what had been flagship level just several years back, and I wasn't needing that, then.
As for everyone asking about screen protectors, I've yet to see a single smartphone hit the market where someone didn't promptly release a dedicated screen protector for it, and this is no different. I ordered mine from Amazon and they are curved-edge glass that one applies to the screen very much like one pops in a contact lens. It was the easiest I've ever dealt with, and nary a bubble to be seen.
It comes down to each and every one of us trying to feature match what we want and need to the devices on the market when the time comes to buy one. This one had everything I needed/wanted, and at an incredibly good price (which has dropped since March). I've loved my prior Xiaomi Redmi devices, and this one continues that trend.

Snapdragon 7s gen 4 is classified a mid range SOC. The actual problem we have is the value offered on a device by the price it has that surely endless especially in the middle of RAM crisis.

1600 cycles of the battery life cycle is awesome I think which was based on Silicone Carbon battery. This is the info I found on their website. I also like the design compared to the rest of the note 15 series. Probably they arranged it to let users easily find it as the chief among the series. I have no objection on this for sure. They did it for other elements as well like the SOC, screen and camera which are the important items to get better.

Because of the curves of the phones body it feels like a thin device. Easy to use. I'm thinking of removing the pre applied screen protector when it goes bad and using the phone without a screen protector. Screen of this phone is better than my wife's iPhone 16 pro

9 reasons for not buying this Redmi Note 15 Pro+:
1. Curved display can break if phone fitted to mobile holder on bike and Tempered glass fitting issues.
2. Phone size is still big. 6.5 inches or below wo would have been great.
3. The weight. Any phone below 200g would be great.
4. Fingerprint on side is much better.
5. No 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless Earbuds are causing headache and other health issues.
6. The smart charging is unreliable. It some times charges beyond 80% and battery can be damaged. Battery health is everything so you enjoy all features. Xiaomi should give user option to set custom percentage to stop charging like some phones has it like Nothing, OnePlus and Samsung S25.
7. Missing Long tap back button action = Launch recents screen. Long tap Menu button action = Split screen, long tap Home button = Turn off screen etc. Should give more options for each navigation key for Single tap, Double tap, Tap and hold. User can perform more shortcut actions.
8. They should use simple name like Redmi Note 15 Pro Max would have been better.
9. Fingerprint scanner was good at side to like in Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. It will be convenient to access second space with may be a middle finger 😄

The CPU used here is definitely no speed demon... for 400 euros, I’d certainly expect something better... only one of the cameras is actually usable, and UFS 2.2 is a pretty major compromise, too... Redmi Note models usually strike a good balance between price and performance, but in this case, that balance has really suffered. For the same price, you can get the Xiaomi 15T Pro, which is in a completely different league—at least two tiers above this one.
