Otherwise the software is OK when you do the minimum mandatory tweaks.

and you have to pay for the pro max to get new 2nm soc?

Xiaomi did a flagship killer once with the k90 pro max (it worked), but I wouldn't say it's a rule that Xiaomi should keep (the flagship killer idea with the k series).
