Yep, this has got to be one of the worst phone downgrades ever and here's proof :
Specs nerfed from older redmi 15C or somewhat older series
Bad gaming performance with bad benchmarks score
Camera sucks
Not worth it to buy at all

Xiaomi actually made a phone that Samsungs cheapest phone from last year uses to mop the floor. The a07 4G destroys this.

This is very similar to the Redmi A7 Pro. And that phone now is probably superior because it come with versions with more RAM. The 15C is vastly superior to this phone. 50 MP camera, 6000Mah battery with 33 watts charger on board (not a 10W paltry charger while 17c supports 18w), 6/128 and 8/256GB versions. The 17c specs look like a 2015 phone aside the battery which has been reduced. Design is a copycat of the 14C, but looking even cheaper. Now 17C is a $70 phone, probably I'll purchase A7 Pro instead of this crippled unit, the worst of all C series. Redmi is being directed to bargain basement, while Poco is rising to almost premium range with their F8 and X8 series, without match in Redmi brand. A shame, was the brand that build Xiaomi quality per price motto.

Same boring phone as the Redmi 15C, which by the way is the same phone as the previous generation 14C and even the previous 13C. Only design is and naming do matter. 😓
