The more expensive Samsung A57 and iPhone 17 also don't have USB 3.2. I know, I do understand all, we want all these features regardless if we really use or not, but it is all about cost, also about the marketing, because the marketing team want you to buy the more expensive smartphone to get all the goodies. I know, this in a way do feel like these smartphone maker is looking down on buyers with lesser budget, but it is the same for everything, car, TV, laptop, wireless earphone.

How fast does your phone's battery drain when discharging while doing nothing? Please test @ 0%, 25%, 50% & 100% brightness and let me know. You can use the Ampere app from the play store to check this in less than a minute.

gabu, 19 Apr 2026love the phone but yeah the GPU is misleading. it's Im... moreThe indian version is MC11 too.

But the indian version uses UFS 3.X storage and not 4.X. Xiaomi also lies about this.
Indian Poco homepage of the X8PM clearly claims UFS 4.X.
Unsure if it's just the 256gb models, or if it's the 512gb ones too.

                    Proof: https://youtu.be/DtslvSV0ops @ 6:16 (leftmost device).
Clearly says UFS 3.X, and the low score of 2179mb/s solidifies the fact it's actually 3.X and not a software bug (UFS 3.X has a theoretical maximum of 2.9gb/s).
Unsure if this is the case for global and EU too.
I encourage the rest to test.

So many lies with this release it's insane, I've lost count, and all faith in that brand at this point.

AnnNmm, 24 Apr 2026Don't buy any OPPO, Vivo, iQoo, Infinix with Mediatek ... moreCan you say Lazy Developer one more time? Where did the lazy developers touch you?

Just another unhinged Qualcomm drone that tries to make it all about MediaTek vs Qualcomm in a Xiaomi discussion.

I see Apple, OnePlus, Iqoo, Oppo, RedMagic and more running GI & HSR at 120fps.
I don't see Xiaomi doing it ON ANY MODEL - yet Xiaomi claims you can ("lazy Xiaomi developers" in your language)
Your solution to said problem? Buy any Xiaomi device.

See how easy it was to write you off completely?
Now go chase after the "lazy Xiaomi developers" and tell them to stop lying.

                      Sidenote:
I can emulate 4x PS2 at 120fps and more just fine with a MediaTek chipset. It's so nauseating hearing this claim spewed out in every comment field from Chinese drones/bots.

PC Emulation on Android is currently terrible value on the 8 elite architecture due to immature drivers, and micromanaging settings for each game to get it to run somewhat stable at 110c on a 1000€ phone (yeah grill that battery).
And it's better done - and less headache, with a cheap Steamdeck or similar dedicated handheld PC that costs less - and runs much better than any 8EG5 Android. PC emulation on Android has miles to go before I will even bother investing into it.

Qualcomm hasn't even been helpful to developers after they shifted to their in-house architecture because they have IP and contracts to protect.

Anonymous, 14 Apr 2026you can turn it off https://www.androidauthority.com/remove... moreEnable USB debugging in developer options and uninstall it with ADB or with a debloater app, works fine and won't need root. You can disable developer mode after and it will still keep the app uninstalled.
You can uninstall almost all MIUI and pre installed Google apps like that (even though you can't delete their packages in the system partition).

xaawsaaa, 24 Apr 2026its fine for a mid range phone, its a beast, its just that ... moreAs a Hyperos user (Poco X6pro) i confirm what you are saying is true. before that i had x3 pro that had Normal Xiaomi os and my experience was fantastic with it but after buying x6 pro for Almost a year i had over heating and battery draining issues untill Xiaomi fixed their crappy hyper os with several updates. its fine now Hyper os is not the best i wish Xiaomi stayed with their old original Os. But its also the fact that no one can beat Xiaomi phones in the budget segment its best for People on tight budget. Rich people can go for Samsung or iPhone Flagships though for premium experience

You had been warned, is your lazy developer problem, also the game that can only run at 60fps, also is your Chinese games' lazy developer problem. The processor is completely capable, but your lazy developer choose to ignore this platform.Go blame your beloved lazy developer. The solution? Buy the old POCO F7, or any Snapdragon smartphone, F8 Pro, F8 Ultra, Xiaomi has plenty of smartphone having Snapdragon processor.
