vivo X200 Ultra

User opinions and reviews

I bought the brand new Vivo X200 Ultra for only €635. Got the best camera hardware (comparable with the much expensive X300 Ultra) and SD Elite soc, best purchase ever and it is my very first Ultra phone with vivo. I also bought the telephoto lens kit worth €160, so i spent €795 in total. Big bang for my buck!

After 1 month of use, comparing to my Xiaomi 14 Ultra is inevitable.

Xiaomi Camera app is more advanced, I miss some settings. Don't get me wrong, Vivo app is 99% there, just not as thorough as Xiaomi's app.

MF / locking is a joke on Vivo. It keeps resetting in difficult scenes and focuses on the front subject after 1-2 shots. It is a real frustration. Of course, this is in normal Photo mode, I could switch to Pro mode, but who really uses that?

No on-screen Exposure Compensation setting - I have this invaluable option on Xiaomi Camera app, but there is none on Vivo. e.g. if you wish to keep shooting underxposed all the time - you are out off luck! You will constantly need to adjust each shot manually with finger sliding after touch & hold in difficult scenes (where phones keep overexposing due to default light measurement).

Photo Editing - there is no Tone Curve editing! Yes, I can use 3rd party apps for this, but this is what I miss from Xiaomi's app.

Power Button - double press to launch camera app. Come on, Vivo! Add this option already! No, the Volume button is not the same thing, and neither is that gimmick dedicated button on the side! I never can press that software button hard enough, and settings don't make much difference. ADD THE POWER BUTTON SUPPORT!

All in all, Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a much more polished product, despite being 2 generations behind, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be my next stop, for sure (X15U did not impress me much).

After few days of usage, i am super happy, specially about battery, camera, and privacy features. I wish i could have switched away from Samsung years ago..

I prefer the X100 ultra better than this.

HiddenEmpire , 08 Apr 2026No doubt, hard to beat its class. Thats why i got it after... morereduction in lens aperture does not matter as it's a completely minor issue. Unless there's a massive jump, like f/1.6 to f/3.0, it's not going to be too noticeable. Main thing the aperture differences aid in is with the increase or reduction of bokeh.

All that is to say, the "downgrades" of the X300 Ultra don't actually materialize as new sensors, processing and stabilization are used. Don't forget the Chroma sensor which is unfathomably good.

Anyways, you're right, the X200 Ultra is super hard to beat. I hope you have good battery life on data in your country, in mine it sucks. Another phone that is hard to beat is the Find X6 Pro, Oppo outdid themselves back then and due to sheer hardware it's still an excellent buy, apart from extreme low light and battery struggles.

Good phones stay good, only their software depreciates them with "updates".

By God... now this phone takes the most natural shots on a phone whilst having the option to toggle to the best computational photography phone out there. The fact that I can just update my phone and get this feature is astonishing. Bravo Vivo.

                    Although been a samsung user since s2, currently using s23u, got vivo x200u as a secondary phone. Things i noted in vivo x200u as compared to my s23u;

                    1. Excellent portraits
                    2. Excellent night time images and videography
                    3. Unbeatable macro shots
                    4. Super fast ultrasonic fingerprint and face unlock
                    5. Improved battery life

I am addicted to one ui, carrying my s23u as a daily driver, but man! This vivo x200u is a beast and i will keep it as a camera.

Vivo needs to create an ENGLISH language program that works with there phones on WIndows. Transfering files straight from USB C takes forevever. Many hours. Really is almost pointless get one of thes ephones because Its taking me days to download all the large files from this thing... There Vivo Software is all Chinese language. We need English version

Transfering files from the x100Ultra, X200Ultra or pretty much ANY Vivo phone is super slow. The phones work much faster with the special Vivo program but its all chinese and theres no english version. After it became apparent that the coming x300 Ultra has next to none improvements, especially not with the ultrawide and Tele lenses, I bought this model second hand and I think I got a much better value for money than the x300 Ultra.
