It's a tough one. Samsung made a mistake when they positioned this product to label it as 'samsung fans only' with it's price.
Because realistically speaking, my 32gb ram 1tb rom X elite 78-100 3K OLED vivobook was costing me 1128EUR/1260$ with extended, 4 years warranty. Nah.
What bugs me the most that it could have been stronger for the same price while being able to maintain max or 90% sustainable performance even when pushed with being JUST A LITTLE thicker to have a miles better thermal solution inside.
But ZTE is the one who offered these.
AI plans almost everything, technology provides solutions Samsung intentionally notoriously decides not to give those to their customers.
No excuse in almost 2027!
Cheap trash, unacceptable attitude. I'm out. 7 years no battery capacity change in the Ultra phone series, 1/3,94" camera sensor seriously shamelessly given in an 'Ultra'?COME ON. It tells everything, actually...

TPhoto, 29 Oct 2026No idea why anyone would by this over a 14 M4 MacBook MacBook is not a convertible, doesn't support styluses and doesn't support eSIM either (cellular connectivity).
But at this price I see little appeal in an overpriced tablet.

No fm radio or audio jack in a modern smartphone is a disgrace and a joke really. It only costs a couple of cents to include it and the high quality feature enrichment is tremendous and far outweighs the potential disadvantages.
And no Samsung is not an option. Ever since Samsung stopped allowing bootloader unlocking their devices, Samsung has become totally useless and obsolete in the scene.

239 -240 ppi is not enough for this ultra series tab . It should be minimum at least 350-400 ppi

Without the ability to unlock the bootloader and flash custom ROM, this device is useless to me as a power user.

Good tablet. Even has sd card reader wow!
But where the hell is the NFC chip?
I cannot pay for my food and beverages at the grocery store with my oversized tablet without NFC sensor! Apple pay requires NFC!
And no audio jack is another deal breaker.
Also am LCD option would be great. It doesn't always have to be OLED when there are other display technologies on the market. How about inventing a new laser display projection technology or come up with some new led based display tech. Always the same old OLED or AMOLED monitor is getting boring.

I wish I could buy a Galaxy Tab S12 but T-Mobile doesn't sell it. I'm not going switch to Red or Blue when Magenta has way better 5G coverage. I guess I'll just have to live with my Galaxy Tab S10+ for now.

OnePlus Pad 4, Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, Honor MagicPad4.
I would prefer the last 2 over the Galaxy ultra, if screen size is a concern then frankly with same budget as the galaxy tab s12 ultra i would look at Laptop market and buy myself a gaming laptop with the price of a Samsung tablet 🤣.
Btw i own Galaxy Tab S8+, when i was buying a tablet for school at that time the competitors didn't have anything to offer and honestly Samsung was ok with their prices and had snapdragon Chip

I think that the 4.5 star ranking is insane. It is the same thing with barely any difference to past iterations. The ranking system should be comforting imo, if a prior generation can take you 99% of the way I think the ranking system should take it in account and decrease the rating of new releases.
Those companies should be pressured into innovation by a barrage of bad reviews which would always compare their product to the previous one and anyt time they come super close in their main features to actuall work against them.
I don't think we should allow those companies to pay zero in R&D all the while increasing the price of their end product year after year.

oneplus 16, a 7 inch phone could pack a full 9000 mah battery and a 14.6 inch tablet boasts a " massive" 11,600 mah battery. they could have gone Si-C and pack easily 15-17,000 mah.
