Not allowed to show the results of the battery test yet?! I wonder why?!
Not a bad set of improvements but again, way to expensive for the chip performance. Only makes sense for US buyers with huge trade in and carrier discounts.

- The 240Hz PWM flickering on display is embarrassing in comparison to even mid tier phones
- Even Samsung starts with first Silicon Carbon batteries. I have a Xiaomi phone with 7000mAh
- Why every Android phone on Earth offers some sort of display calibration adjustment but stock Android does not allow me that (it needs root for achieving that).

i have had numerous brands of phones and read user comments from all of them and i dont know what the deal is with the Pixel people but they are the whiniest, most insufferable group of people.
Pixels are nowhere near as horrible as these constant complainers make them out to be.

I really hope that by having improved thermal performance, Pixel 11 Pro can maintain high brightness for longer. It is literally THE ONLY thing I want to see improved on phones, everything else is near it's limit. And mention of quick brightness drop is my experience with Pixel 7 Pro and S24 Ultra, couple of minutes outside and incredibly bright displays dim to levels I have to hide in a shade to see the display. Pixel 9 which I used for a while was actually good at maintaining high brightness for quite some time, but it still suffered from it sadly. I really hope that you people at GSMarena would test it more broadly, same with say how quickly phone becomes hot on 5G (as it's rarely an issue on WiFi)

No mention of the new modem in the article. The new chip and modem should improve battery life, but I don't think they will. Every year is the same story. I want to love the whole package, but it's only the cameras and software that attract me to Pixels. The hardware is ordinary. I'm at the stage of using a different phone as my main phone and bringing my Pixel 8 along when I know I'll be taking photos.

Is it just me, or does the Pixel 10 take better photos? At least with the main camera.
Ultrawide look sharper too. Compare the photos in the garden with the path.
And the zoomed in images look so AI-ed.
This is a $450 phone, at most.

According to the exif data, the f-number of the periscope camera is not 2.80 , but 2.84. So the effective lens diameter is only 6.87mm.

They give really good trade-in incentives. And in the US they give all kinds of coupons, so the phone ends up being $380-400.
Absolutely not worth it at the full price.

I'm slightly considering this phone as the pixel 9 pro XL has a great trade in offer where you get £600 when buying a new pixel. It makes the pixel 11 pro XL essentially £364 over two years including the SIM card, so the phone is basically free.
If this offer didn't exist I wouldn't even consider it as the phone seems basically the same. It's hard to argue with a free upgrade though. Trying to convince myself the find x9 ultra is worth another £600 on top

"Much like with the main camera, the new telephoto camera also captures an impressive amount of detail, which is much improved over the previous models."
I totally disagree. I compared the periscope camera at 15x with my Pixel 7 Pro in a store. I took a photo of text from a distant sign. In contrast to Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 11 Pro XL always uses analog binning at high zoom factors (10x, 15x). So you only get 2 megapixel dng files at 10x in the default mode. And indeed, it performs worse than the Pixel 7 Pro regarding fine detail at 15x.
Only when you manually enable the 50 megapixel mode, analog binning is disabled at 10x, 15x, etc. But even then the jpgs look less natural and you can still get less fine detail than the 7 Pro.
But when you compare the dng files at 15x (with the 50 megapixel mode of the 11 Pro XL enabled), then the result is quite similar to the 7 Pro, though I think I'd still prefer the result of the 7 Pro.
