Samsung launches the Galaxy Buds On clip-on earbuds in the US, here's the price
At the beginning of this month, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Buds On, its first pair of clip-on earbuds. Today, the company has also announced them for the US market, where they will become available to purchase in early November for $229. Then, Samsung says it will bring them to Europe in early 2027.
The Galaxy Buds On are built "for situations that demand awareness" of your environment and "hands-free convenience", Samsung says. The company used AI-assisted optimizations and physics simulations to refine their design for "a diverse range of ear shapes", drawing on more than 119 million "ear data points". Computational modeling helped optimize speaker and battery geometry "to create a low-pressure fit around the ear, while refining the stiffness and shape of the band for a secure, comfortable fit", the company boasts.
Samsung's Audio Leakage Reduction technology reduces escaping sound before it travels outward by "projecting reversed sound waves from the rear of the speaker", keeping audio more private. The Galaxy Buds On are powered by the Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform. They each have three microphones and a voice pickup unit that detects when you're speaking based on bone and skin movement, which works with Intelligent Clear Call to isolate your voice and remove noise.
You can talk to Gemini hands-free, capture thoughts through the buds with Quick Voice Memo, and use head gestures to accept and decline calls. Each bud has an 11.3mm driver and a 61mAh battery which should last up to 9.5 hours on a charge for listening to music and 5.5 hours for calls. If you add the case in, the total battery life goes up to 38 hours or 25 hours, respectively. The Galaxy Buds On connect via Bluetooth 6.2 and support Samsung's Seamless Codec, AAC, SBC, and LC3 codecs. The buds are IP54 rated for dust and sweat resistance.

Never tried clip on earbuds but if I decide to try I will start from cheap models first. Though I may not like them as I need good anc and strong bass.

This will most likely be on par with some cheaper Shokz OpenDots 2 which is cheaper.
