The Android handheld gaming console market has been on the rise for the last few years as manufacturers rush to compete with Valve's Steam Deck. We now get Lenovo's first handheld Android gaming console, called the Lenovo Cloud Gaming Handheld G700.

One of the standout features of Lenovo's device is the ability to stream offline. Thanks to Lenovo's proprietary Legion Stream protocol, you can stream from a PC without a network connection. The connection works through a dongle, which Lenovo provides with the retail package. You can, of course, still stream from the cloud, for when you are on the go.

The Cloud Gaming Handheld G700 doesn't have the most impressive hardware. It features a fairly large 7.82-inch FHD LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, as opposed to the OLED screens other handhelds offer.

The mid-range Dimensity 7400 is tasked with driving the pixels, but it's supported by an active cooling system. The SoC comes with either 6GB, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, while storage options are 128GB and 256GB. Expansion via microSD card is also possible.

An 8,000 mAh battery keeps the lights on, and considering the chipset's potency, it will likely be enough for some extra-long gaming sessions. The handheld also runs on Android 16, which isn't standard in the segment, so kudos to Lenovo for that.

When it comes to connectivity, the device features a 3.5mm audio jack, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E.

Currently, Lenovo is releasing its device to the Chinese market with a starting price of CNY 2,199 (~$330) for the 8GB/256GB variant, and there's no word on global availability.
