Insider reveals Samsung's plans to completely overhaul One UI 10

One UI 10 will reportedly introduce a new way of interacting with apps and mobile software as a whole.


Will they call it Galaxy OS? How about calling it gOS?

      I love how Samsung always changes things just outside of the "window" I happen to have. After buying S23 Ultra, they changed updates from just 4 years to 7 years with S24 series. S23 Ultra just received its last OneUI 9 update and just with OneUI 10 (which S23 won't receive), they'll be making a huge redesign. Sigh.

      Sad thing is, out of all Android variants, OneUI fits my use best and I have it tailored exactly the way I like it which kinda makes me want to stick with Samsung the most.

          - Notification Center & Quick Settings
          - Home Screen Widgets
          - Always-On Display
          - Swipe-to-Type Keyboards
          - T9 Dialling (yeah, the T9 dialling)

          Frankly, I think there is much more, but really can't remember. As for Android, these are basics... Wouldn't think twice why iOS don't have.

                        subscription paywall? two tiers? yeah, it's over, officially over. Might switch to an older samsung to avoid this horrendous sounding update. The Note 9 was perfect. The insane price you pay for the device in the first place should be what gets you the "good" tier, not a freaking subscription

                          It would certainly fit the rumors of them starting their software tests early, aswell as the more thorough changes on the S27 Ultra

                            Dear Samsung, I recommend taking inspiration from the user interfaces found in XR headsets as well as AR glasses.

                            Take inspiration from Sony's Vita, PSP & PS3 XMB as well as Nintendo's Wii, WiiU, DS interfaces. There are many cool design elements that still make sense on phones.

The truth is, phones just can't physically house good speakers inside, as lower Hz reproduction requires, aside from a good subwoofer of course, considerable space inside the loudspeaker unit. Even headphone speakers are just too large to fit inside even the largest smartphones. Then good stereo experience needs proper positioning of the speakers, again impossible in a 15-17cm slab.

                              Not defending Apple tho, just infodumping :p
