          google, honor and now apple all added IP68/69 dust protection to folding phones. samsung lagged this one badly. under display camera was tested by samsung for years and it is an obsolete tech. apple was clumsy to use that.

          samsung's screen is symmetrical. so, it looks better, it can used with both hands. has better inner selfie camera. it has a glossy inner display (anti glare) to preserve consistency and punchy colors/contrast. it weighs much lighter and thinner.

          apple's crease looks better; flex mode is available, has a better main sensor, has better speaker alignment, has better dust protection and has stylus pen support.

            iPhone Duo is at most on par with Z Fold 8, and definitely cannot compete with Z Fold 8 Ultra, let alone with Z Trifold.

              In my opinion, Samsung takes a logical win here with a phone that makes better use of screen space. The asymmetrical design is truly ugly and impractical, especially for left-handed users. The Samsung is also thinner and much lighter; in this regard, Apple is three generations behind—you have to go back to the Z Fold 5 to find a device with that kind of weight.
              I also dislike the inconsistent screen finishes on the Apple device—glossy on the outside and matte on the inside—which ruins the sense of continuity. Why not use matte screens for both?
              Both devices involve compromises when it comes to the cameras. As for the price, the actual difference is much greater than the launch prices suggest; because it’s Samsung, there are always deals available, making it easy to buy the phone for around €1,400, whereas with Apple, you’ll really have to shell out €2,340 for the 256GB model.
              Ultimately, we’ll have to wait for reviews of the "iPhone Duo" to form a definitive opinion, since we don't yet know all its specifications.

                    I am a samsung fan but I choose apple duo this time. Same price but the duo has better camera, better chip which leads to better battery, and lastly is titanium build. Common samsung do better in s27 series

                            Dislike:
                            - D form factor folded
                            - Inner screen is not so resistant against scratches (to be fair not a single foldable screen is nearly as scratch-resistant as traditional format phones with glass)
                            - Titanium frame is nowhere as tough as stainless steel on old pro iPhones

                            Just to nitpick:
                            I’d find it much better would the outer screen be larger at 6 inches.

From a functional perspective, the Duo is actually more comfortable in the hands and pockets while the Fold makes maximum use of it's theoretical screen estate.

Samsung has been doing these things for almost a decade and it shows they know what is important, and what design language works for the form-factor

                                  I'd confidently say the iPhone is the worst product design ever by Apple.

                                    The shiny rails and rounded corners makes the Duo looks more premium. I still have my broken Z4 and everytime I compare it to my Z6, it looks more fancy. However, I do prefer the square look. I'm not sure rounded edges makes it easier to use and Samsung's square design is unique while all other foldables looks the same.

                                    I saw a video on Dave's early review that showed a girl playing a game. The game seamlessly transitioned to the smaller screen without interruption. I'm not sure if it was specific to that game, but that was impressive. I don't think I've played any game on my fold that transitions without issues.

                                        One more comparison: the design differences between the two. The square edges of Samsung fold 8 are masculine leaning and appeal more to men, whereas the rounded-off edges of iPhone Duo are more feminine and appeal more to women. This is not a small difference, it is make or break decision for many.
