Barry Egan, 10 Sep 2026the pill cutout is the most unnecessary thing on a droid phone,🫤3D Face unlock is great. Besides being more secure, it also unlocks the phone instantly even in complete darkness. I have a Magic7 pro, it works great every time. It's amazing that no other Android phone except the Honor Magic series has this useful feature.

I don't think the layout is bad per say. The shade of green they picked is just ugly. It does remind me of an F7 Pro. I predict like every Honor Magic Pro they will give it a 4.4. Honor needs to grease some palms. I do think it's funny that while it doesn't always perform quite as good in some areas as Vivo or Oppo's flagships(cameras), the performance for gaming or heavy loads is usually better.

When watching anything on my single punch hole phone there is nearly black bars on every app I use anyway that cover the punch hole so I don't think a pill would make any difference for content viewing at least for the majority of apps.

The ARRI partnership looks promising. Hopefully it will also improve their photo quality.
