Jagganatha, 30 Aug 2026Were Trump to cancel his tariffs I am wondering if the memo... moreRAM prices are spiked by demand from AI hyperscalers (data centers development). Until this demand is met not much will change. Fun fact - jet engines are also going up in price and air lines having trouble now - data centers are using those as local power generators, burning jet fuel like crazy.

Were Trump to cancel his tariffs I am wondering if the memory etc. manufacturers on whom the USA financially depend to survive might just drop their similarly hiked memory prices. In my spare time I have had no trouble finding 1 & 2TB SDXC cards each costing over a $1000 each, more than $2000 for a fast 2TB about 10x the real retail value (I know, I checked, and you can still get 2TB for £221 on Amazon, basic slower 4K compatible).
This is what happens when you are trillions of dollars in debt to the OEM states like China & Taiwan & Korea, and have the gall to try to cheat them - its not rocket science.

So best wait till Trump has Departed to invest in a super new Apple high-end machine...

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2026No matter how many products they introduce, marketshare is ... moreI agree, if they have kept the old prices, they would have gotten a chance at increasing marketshare, but they couldn't resist keeping their margins.

I know it is a business and all, but at some point, you gotta take a hit in order to win long term. Good luck to Apple. iPhone cant keep them running forever.

          Probably like $25k 🤧😂

No matter how many products they introduce, marketshare is still below 3%.

Super overpriced. Apple is super greedy entity. They constantly seeking for cheapest supplier deals, same time selling it's toys with huge bump overprice. Same time telling everyone it's top of the world, shines with sparkles and Apple buyers are life conquers and winners all the time.

A mini PC with only 256 GB of storage at $899. What a joke.

"currently accepting guesses for how much will that cost"
512GB will be double the price of 256GB 🤓

                    Small Mac Big Price

I'd rather buy a big Mac for less.

With those permanent price bumps, farmers done a better job keeping us alive than these a.i. obsessive monkeys.
