Nothing special. Should be at least 6000mAh. Still long way to go. Don't forget samsung phones consuming alot of power. Don't know how they r going to navigate these concerns.

Why not 5100 mAh and 5600 mAh? This rounding off error is big.

One thing is clear, they are very cautious ever since the Note 7 regarding batteries. Adopting the new standard but keeping the capacity at similar levels.. People seem to forget how bad the Note 7 situation was and that Samsung (and Apple) sell WAY more phones than Chinese brands, so if anything goes wrong, they lose millions.

Some might say that's not enough, and it really isn't, but for Samsung this is a pretty big step considering they've been stuck on 5000mAh for the past 6 years. OnePlus was the only OEM in the US offering high capacity Si/C batteries and now they're gone, so it's good to see an OEM with as much market presence as Samsung finally pick up the technology even if their capacity doesn't hold a candle to even last generation's OnePlus
