Not sure if this is better or worse than the TriFold,

Positive: Unlike the Trifold, you won’t have to turn the device upside down when folding / unfolding it.

      Samsung leading the way again

        If it aint broke, don't fix it. This makes me doubt the sales and durability claims of the current device.

There's nothing to gain and everything to lose by leaving it exposed when not in use. There's a reason why Huawei abandoned the outward fold after 2 attempts.

First it would expose the screen , the Samsung would come along with the book style and Huawei would copy it. As long as they can keep thickness below 12mm and ideally 10mm, I don't mind.

                They dont sell Huawei in EU countries anymore so what's the point is showing their new phone designs here ? Unless the target is Asian countries that read this site.

                      Oh, come on. The Mate XT/XTs is especially unique because of the outward-folding hinge at the left side. Now they're going to make a Galaxy Z TriFold copy? Really?!

                        Nightmare design for camera sensors, but even so, based on rumors, together with pen support inlast huawei 3fold, next thing may be some serious bendable.
                        Not that I will care with big my big sensors on thick x9u, which is going to get only biggger next gen.
                        Foldables basically cant compete in camera field with bar phones.
